  1. Am there for a gig on the Thursday night. As long as we're fed before pub goes off then we could do it
  2. We do it once a month. It's a mates ex-wife's (I didn't like her much) recipe from up state New York. It's very tasty
  3. That looks awesome when you said you were going for wings I was picturing about 6
  4. Not sure if I'm speaking out of turn, or something happened in the past, but some of the states haven't had a new thread in over a year (or two or more) Any chance they could be opened up (with moderation if needed - or on a case by case thing: some seem to be going great as they are) to see how they go? Maybe a set of rules and heavy handed deletion/closing of threads? Or a "You must be this high" to start a new thread?
  5. And you wonder why those people (who moved onto the parcel delivery/courier business) are now having fun with you?
  6. Standard FG turbo - have been filling up 60l every 500kms since new. Long, freeway trip I get to 600kms.
  7. 15/20k the moment you drive it out of the dealer :(
  8. Cheers - getting the car back soon with some extra ponies - still on the OEM's with no traction troubles, but they're almost ready for replacement. Trying to work out if the Nitto's are great tyres, or great tyres for the price (subtle difference) 90% of my driving I could do on Bob-Jane T-Mart specials, it's the other 10% that I'm concerned about Will be taking the car to the strip for a few runs once it's back (out of interest rather than testosterone) and am tipping traction will start to be a problem. Road noise and wet roads will come into the equation, so the NT05's may be too much of a compromise.
  9. Took me a while to come to terms with the idea. I would have gone a straight, solid red bit of meat if I saw it instead of one laced with all this white stuff. Apparently there's good fat and bad fat (the marble fat apparently reduces cholesterol instead of the outside fat that causes it) Not sure if it only goes to a few breeds or if any steaks that are lined with (inside) fat are better.
  10. Am tempted to go the nt05's on the rear and the Innvo's on the front
  11. I thought they were fed beer and massaged nightly Absolutely love the rib-eyes from the butcher up the road, never have I turned down a rump. Don't usually care what cow the meat if from, but can tell the difference between a bad steak and a good one once it's on the plate and I've had some. I do agree, it may not be as different as the marketing tries to tells you, but will report back tomorrow night to say how my lump of moo tasted Once they started selling it at Subways and on Domino's pizzas as something special I knew the boat had sailed.
  12. Isn't it the Kobe beef, but bred outside the area? There are some that are fullblood, but a lot of blends now still calling themselves Wagyu. All I know is how the meat just melts in the mouth, and those little balls of fat melt and cause little explosions of flavour when they burst
  13. Private property for smoke generation and pics maybe the best option
  14. Who does this? Supermarkets Ever tried to buy hotdogs? Hotdogs come in 10's, hamburgers in 24's, the rolls in packs of 8, the cheese in 12's....... the math hurts
  15. Wagyu's on a totally different level Used to do a group buy for wholesale for some mates before it was stocked in almost any butchers - nothing compares to a decent cut of it. A "low" 5/4 marble level had them reporting back "best steak I've ever had - ever" - and that was just for rump
  16. I preferred the early Gainsville adds - have long been wanting to make Ms Gainsville into Mrs Rab edit: that wasn't the best, but the only one I could find
  17. Am headed back over there next month with the son (his favorite has a gig on at the Governor - only place doing an under 18's/all ages that he can go to). Your talk of food in Adelaide reminded me of the best Mexican I've had - Maiz and Mezcal - was a bit out of town I think. Took him and a mate of his over last year (same gig) and they still talk about the meal we had there - better not disappoint this time or I'll burn the town to the ground (hopefully it wasn't just a good night when we went) Also has Chili Mojo just down the road from them - have ordered a heap of sauces from them, would be good to visit (they were shut when we went through last)..
  18. Cheers for the heads up (on the tyres and the dealer) I think I'll be going for the Nittos (need to decide which) shortly and a set of MT's for 18's if I end up headed to the strip more than occasionally. I'd probably rip through the zero's before even using their grip in normal driving.
  19. Liver cleansing doing its thing?
  20. Very nice. Looks like the shots are already up on http://www.v8supercars.com.au/championship/teams-and-drivers
  21. On sale here for $500 if looking
  22. Are those fitting on standard 19's? or do you have a wider rim?
