Dobbed in a dumb blonde bimbo and her boyfriend P-Plate Late model camira Wagon driving DH today for littering. Had to register to do it and nothing will ever come of it, but it was the first time I've ever been compelled. Anyway - sitting in Hungry Jacks drivethrough - bimbo wound window down and tossed her trash out (last HJ meal rubbish mind you) Couple of toots and gestures from me let them know they were busted - photo from phone let them know they were recorded. They could have passed the rubbish to the person serving, could have put it in a bin or could have removed it at home. Was going to post it in the WPMO thread, but the thought of lowlife BF getting a fine and having to extract the coins from bimbo GF to pay it makes me happy. They'll probably get off - private property etc (drivethrough), but hopefully they'll get a lesson.

History of incident tied to insurance claim could be handy if engine ever lets go in the future from something that could be related to oil loss too

Yeah - I know what you're saying. Reading it makes me sound like a queasy woos, but I'm more than happy to eat just about anything - regardless of where/how it comes - except rice custard, that stuff makes me want to heave. What is it about poultry and Maori's - seems like a pre-requisite around here to working in a chook processing factory.

At the bottom of the big pressure fryers there's a large catch can - collects all the crud that comes off the chicken while it's frying. At the end of however many runs each cooker does the oil is drained and the nasty sh*te that is in the bottom is pulled. Sometimes it's fine - other times it's horrid. When it's gravy making time a batch of this stuff is mixed with a powder. Probably doesn't sound so bad when written, but the sludge can be pretty bad at times - think of the underside of a grill tray that's been in service for a decade and never washed. They may have changed the process in the 25 years since I was working the cookers, but can still remember freaking out when I found out how it's done. Especially given it was a fairly busy store I was in and the cookers weren't drained, filtered and cleaned quite as often as they should have been. Keep in mind also - this was the store that they found maggots in the chicken 30 odd years ago (was before my time - but was a huge story around the playground at school) Damn - just writing this makes me smell the bloody stuff - the smell (not too offensive) would penetrate everything and stick with you for days. edit: what's the urban legend.

As explained to me (very politely by Dags) - runs/cruises/organised events etc organised through the forum have a potential for issues if anything happens on the run that could flow back to the forum/site owner etc. As such there are cruise controllers for each state and the state based forums are locked down for moderation. I think I snuck our cruise "chance meeting" under the radar so to speak as an off forum catchup. Maybe if you posted something like - "Hey guy's - I'm heading from Hindley Street on Saturday arvo for lunch in the hills, hope to encounter some of you out on the road" you'd not have a problem (don't quote me on it) If you tried to organise a forum cruise event you probably would be shut down? Yeah - every other state has a page, but they are also locked - for the reasons above. Just seems different because some states have more active mods/cruise controllers. PS - Dags was extremely polite and articulate when he advised me - he didn't just say "NO"

Anyone else not having the forum clear read topics when you click on "Show New Content"? Shows read topics as greyed out, but still visible for me since I got back on a half hour ago. edit: even "Mark Forum as Read" keeps everything grey, but visible since the last time I cleared the unread - 6:20pm for me

Chile con carne made from the offcuts and left over brisket from the last cook. FIGJAM - easy meal and so friggin tasty. Best part is there's heaps left to mellow in the pot over the next few days
