  1. Ouch on car - any timeframe given? Going to be back for the Baw Baw run?
  2. Lol - you go to the Bandito run gym and wonder why it's filled with tattooed ex-jailbirds? Dark sunglasses should be common to wear in the gym - would save getting busted perving
  3. 4 things I should do today but can't be arsed starting on. No other work in that I can do to put them off further. Have already done a lunch run, shop run, coffee run - might have to crash a computer so I can rebuild it instead of starting those 4 projects.
  4. Used to go to a gym in the CBD every day - the mirrors sure got good perve useage.
  5. And SA's rulers are a bit compressed, giving inflated readings of dick size?
  6. Lol BiZkets - how many k's did you get from them before you decided to put them out of their misery?
  7. Ditto. Much prefer seeing the sun come up from the night before than having to wake up to see it.
  8. Ordered a set of tyres. 245 Innvo's Goodbye to the stock ones - they were fine when the car was stock, not so much now. Went the 40 profile - hopefully they don't look like 4WD tyres on the 19's, but they should allow for a better ride, handling and traction.
  9. Was hard enough getting them off the playstation to come outside
  10. Actually - OP - I was in that situation many years ago. Instead of a daily driver for the city run I bought my first "real" motorbike. Got to keep the car I loved and turned a possible negative into an awesome new hobby (haven't been without a bike for any extended period since) Not sure if it would be possible/practical for you, but it could be one way round the issue.
  11. Took the kids out to look at the moon again (after the blood moon earlier) to show them the planets. The bright orange one at 10 o'clock (from the moon) is Mars - the other bright one (further away at 4 o'clock) is Saturn. (Jupiter was hidden by trees, so couldn't show them that) Looked pretty awesome. "Can they get to the stars?" (meaning astronauts/probes) was the question from my son's mate (14yo) Both my son and myself facepalmed - made me feel good (both the view and my sons reaction to the question)
  12. Have just got my son moving back to live with me this week (after 8 years of him living with his mum 200kms away and doing the every 2nd weekend and most of school holidays stuff). His schooling was starting to suffer and she was struggling with the distance and trying to run a few acres by herself (they lived 40kms from town/servo/supermarket etc) The initial breakup was the worst time of my life - made worse/more painful for/by me trying to set things right, long after that bird had flown the coop. Nothing is more painful or messes with your mind more than chasing something that is irreconcilable - made all the worse from the other party not being totally honest (either in an attempt to be kind or not wanting to upset the other person or just from being a deceitful bitch). The moment I had a change of focus - stopped caring (honestly not caring) what she was doing, who she was with or looking for a future that involved her (focusing solely on my son) was the moment I got my life back. Took a while for the change to sink into her (her jibes, pokes and insults were no longer working and she couldn't fathom why) but before too long things were amicable between us again - even to the point of friendly. Not sure where I was going with this - just thought we were all spreading our moments of gloom That said - I've now got my XR6T, ZX-14R, house and my son - plus I have my soul back Things do get better :D
  13. How many km's should be the question. I'm getting 19c/km on petrol (long term average) $1.64/l PULP I'm getting 11c/km on LPG (short term average) $0.80/l LPG (both prices can vary) Difference is 8c/km as a rough guide for me 25,000kms a year at 8c saving = $2,000 saved 25,000kms @ 5c would be $1,250 10c saving would be $2,500 a year (if PULP goes to about $1.70 and LPG stays where it is now @0.74 for example) All cars are different and I'm wrapped with the economy I'm getting on gas (probably a lot is due to a decent tune) - would probably be getting better economy on PULP if I tuned for it too. There's heaps of estimates out there on economy figures of LPG vs Petrol - my figures are probably best case scenario (but they have worked for me so far ) For me - the initial cost of the gas system (a tax refund that I would have blown on other stuff and gotten no long term result from) is now a thing of the past. The difference in fuel cost a week well over $40 - that's noticeable for me. If I was still driving to the city every day it'd be the difference between leaving the car at home or being able to drive. For my cruise across to Adelaide it changed from fuel being the main budget item to accommodation being the main cost etc Sure - it's no where as large a % difference in cost as it used to be and the installations now cost more than they did, but there's still valid reasons to get it done. If you've got a car you love and fuel prices are dampening the affection then a LPG system could be the thing that makes it all perfect again. Take the costs of a 2nd car out of the figures (rego, insurance, purchase price, maint and servicing etc) and the higher price of the new kits don't really seem so bad.
  14. Everyone's stopped talking in Vic in silent protest until you're made a mod
  15. Over 5 kg's of fullblood 9+ star Wagyu brisket. Another low and slow cookup to take place. Hopefully as tasty as the last one. Definitely no need for veggies with it - takes away from the room left for the meat
  16. Hope you're taking an extra day for the return trip and heading via the Great Ocean Road midweek
  17. Pretty much the same as vent - some use one, some the other. Re windows - spewing they retired the technet subscription program. Still have mine until August but it was the best thing ever while it lasted.
  18. Feel for you Matty. One thing I found that helped me greatly was getting in contact with a good mate that I'd only see occasionally. I'd known the bloke for years and considered him a close friend, but we moved in different circles etc and he really didn't have much to do with the misses. As such I was able to use him as a great sounding board, spill my guts and frustrations out to him and was able to be myself - was no issue with regards to the female involved as he wasn't part of that bit of my life - wasn't in a position where he had to be diplomatic, feel like he was getting stuck in the middle of something and I had no need to hold back etc.
  19. My office is sort of open planned, but I got to decide where I put my desk/screen. I can't exactly play Diablo 3 at work, but at least I can view Dags's NSFW threads
  20. Been there :( Hopefully you're able to get to the bottom of it quickly. Stupid, little diversions (such as the forum, gaming and videos) are what kept me sane - stuff that takes away the need to think and keep responding/reacting when it's not helping.
  21. One I saw the other night - should have got a pic, spewing I didn't, but it was local so am sure I'll see it again. SsangYong Musso - numberplate was MUSSO. Mercedes badge on the rear door and Merc mudflaps. Didn't get to see the front, but am sure the badges would have carried over. Still had all the Musso badging still on it. Am tipping she also has a Merc keyring. YOU'RE NOT FOOLING ANYONE.
  22. I thought Chev badges would be the lowest Late model camira could get. Nup Magpie Badges now Luckily it's usually Collingwood supporters who do the keying of cars - otherwise they'd be a red rag to a bull. Good luck to the driver who leaves it in Adelaide during a match though.
  23. Was strange - the pics came up for me on 1 pc, and not on another
