  1. All the best Kimberley Definitely a painful time My thoughts often stray back to Bandit - an absolute gem of a dog that passed over a decade ago. As painful as losing them is - I wouldn't trade the memories or experiences of having him in my life for anything. I like to think they'd feel the same way.
  2. Last time I was on a train there were some fold down seats (to make room for wheelchairs) with a sign above them to the effect that they were to be vacated by able bodies on request of the less than able. Ah - public transport - the main reason I bought my first motorbike
  3. I think part of the concession/school kids price is the condition to stand for the elderly/infirm etc Can't remember how it was worded or if it's still current (could have been Vic only)
  4. Got the 14yo and his mate to cook last night - figured they could get off the consoles and make dinner. They asked me to ge them the ingredients to make chicken parma, but I didn't feel confident they could do it from scratch so they made a very nice chicken kiev, fries and salad instead. Didn't save me any time in the kitchen or cleaning up, but it did get them off the consoles and contributing for a while No pics of food, but a pic of an empty plate to keep Don happy
  5. We may have to point Brett towards the Sponsor sign up section at this rate
  6. Bloody hell - we should have tried it as a group buy :S
  7. Being happy is all that matters I think JB have the Beats and the Bose - both about the same price - try to have a listen to both and get the one you prefer
  8. Agree totally there - if he has a need to the N/C though (flies often, wife won't shut up etc) then the Bose set are unbeatable. If there's no need for the N/C then there's a whole world of options depending on price, music and personal preferences.
  9. There not noise cancelling though are they?
  10. Bose QC15's if you're after noise cancelling - only thing I would buy off Bose Can go Beats if you want anyone who's not a teenager laughing at you - or really only listen to the target genre (probably same standard/quality as headphones 1/3 to 1/2 the price)
  11. It does come in handy. Got a call last night that my car was ready for pickup, but that they were closing in 5 I think I was there in 3 The we chatted for 20
  12. Hehe - he said he came back from O/S yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the number of orders that met him
  13. Car back and no issues yet Will call it case closed after a week. Exhaust leak, cleaning throttle body, smoothing out the tune on low throttle (from what I can recall) - hopefully 1 or a combination of those has sorted it. On a fresh note - just ordered a set of Shockworks Coilovers to be sent direct to Mick and the gang. Once these are fitted I think I'll be pretty much complete on what I want out of/done to the car - maybe window tint and towbar to complete the project.
  14. Shockworks ordered - great quick chat with Brett this morning sealed the deal.
  15. We get a heap of those campers at the caravan park I've got my van. Some of the slogans on them are absolute crack ups. (not that I can remember any of them)
  16. That brightened up my whole day BiZkets Am wrapped for u, the misses & jr
  17. So budget is +/- $5k? Is your parts list fixed? Or the end result? If you haven't got your heart set the the bits you're listing I reckon you'd be able to get the 330rwkw out of the car from a decent tuner within budget. Would you have any recommended package Mick that would hit the 330 within budget?
  18. Nice That was my aim too - snuck it in on my last run before I was booked in for the tune etc Great times for a 2.2 60' and a higher mpg than I was pushing

Welcome Cuzzy, Hope you find what you're after an join the family Heaps of info here - can be a bit hard to sort through at times. Have a gander here for a good run down as a starting point for what to look at mod wise.
  20. Cheers I sent an email off to him last night - don't think he'll need to do much to sell me on them - the reviews/feedback I've been seeing have pretty much done the work for him Will give him a call in a few days if I haven't heard back (give him a chance to unwind/unpack etc from his trip)
  21. Mirror auto dim and rain activated wipers is pretty much the only improvements to the XR6T I would have liked to have seen when I picked up mine. Everything else is spot on. That said - I would like a rear wiper - who made the rule that sedans can't have them?
  22. False economy. The best set of 4 you can afford - properly rotated and aligned aren't going to cost that much more than a mis-matched pair and will give a longer life than 2 sets you can't rotate. You also will spend less time driving around with front tyres that are past their peak in terms of grip (a set of fronts could take 20k to wear down the last 20% - well past their prime, while you'll have been buying new rears far more often that you would have been if you'd been rotating)
  23. Super and Standard, Ampol, Golden Fleece You'd buy petrol based on which brand your favorite racer used - mum loved Moffat so she got Ampol. Dad hated him so he went (Shell I think it was) Couldn't even get him to switch when Ampol was selling Smurfs with each tank (actually - may have been BP that had Smurfs - neither of them would go there)
