  1. "Hmmm - Friday arvo, CBF'd for the rest of the day - might just juggle the CAT5 out of the VOIP server and go back to my desk" How else would he post on here when the work internet is down?

    75,000km Service

Definitely worth dropping into Pitlane for a chat and service then. What I said above about decent shops going above and beyond what a Ford dealership does goes double for the team there. Spend a bit of time on the forum here and you'll see just how well regarded Mick (Ratter) and his crew are and how much effort they put towards these cars and the community.

    75,000km Service

Any of the great shops on here would be my suggestion. There are some things that aren't part of the scheduled Ford service (and so won't be done by the lackey they get to work on your car) that the shops know to look at and pay attention to. Where abouts are you? Am sure some of the regulars will be able to point you somewhere local.
  4. Am happy I got mine done. As well as the tighter/snappier shifts and changes it also holds power when stalling it up, instead of holding some back then cutting power after a short time. Just had it tweaked it a little, but the main thing I'm happy with is that it locks it into 1st when stopped - no more taking off in 2nd which was a major bugbear for me - especially when pulling out of a street. Would have no power/wrong gear til about half way through pulling out round a corner then it would change from 2nd back to 1st and bring it on suddenly
  5. Think I still have Stoner listed as my political or religious following on FB As good as him and Marquez are/were - Rossi at his peak is/was still my favorite to watch
  6. Is it........ pissing you off? There's a thread you can complain about it in somewhere around here
  7. Goto the website I posted - click on free sample button and enter your address Looking at heading over MotoGP time? Marquez is going unbelievably well and am hanging to see him and Rossi at the Island again
  8. VB til they moved the brewing to QLD and totally fscked up the brand Melbourne to pick up from where VB dropped the ball Carlton Draught when I grew up and stopped wearing wife beaters Nowadays - Carlton if I buy a slab - random six pack if only after a couple of beers - specific brew if the occasion/time demands it. Poor taste and will get looked down on, but Millers Chill for me on a hot day - that stuff goes down like nothing else (bought it accidentally one day - thought it said Millers Chilli and just had to try it - didn't realise til I had my first sip it was lime, not chilli infused but was one of those rare occasions where expectation was exceeded by reality) Asahi is another fave for summer
  9. Yeah - it's not an everyday drink, but fits the right time and place perfectly. Lazy sunday when the monday's a RDO/long weekend so you don't have to worry about tomorrow. Nice slow sipping, transitioning into a single malt in the evening :D
  10. Done was a bit scared to google Jim's Jerky, but lead me straight to http://www.jimsjerky.com.au/ edit: mmmmm - some interesting flavours there too - might have to place an order if the samples decent. will have to get some hot ones and some biltong methinks (maybe we should get ratter to organise a group buy )
  11. It's an ale - not a fizzy lolly water Creamy milk of the gods when poured from a tap
  12. Pfft - weak and watery. Gets drunk in it's home country about as much as Fosters does here
  13. Reminds me of buying Kilkenny cans from my local. Was a glorious time when they switched the cans from the 375ml to the 440ml and the prices hadn't caught up yet. mmm - Kilkenny - nothing better on a quiet, lazy sunday arvo in Summer than Kilkenny on tap in the beer garden.
  14. edit: Am only asking the ^^ as a possible group buy candidate is it is something a fair few of us should be looking at
  15. Nice - soft or chewy jerky? (can't stand the soft stuff - that's not jerky)
  16. Are oil pump gears (the main other thing I hear of being a weak point after the stock tranny cooler and the stock turbo oil filter) something that could/should be upgraded for peace of mind?   Or are they just something that can let go but not something that can be upgraded?
  17. Felt like the engine to me too - was even times when I was sure it was going to stall. Like you - raising the revs did nothing. The amount of vibration coming from the dodgy fan was unbelievable.
  18. He's actually offering all 4 of those items at the moment - didn't respond to the post because I thought Willo88 was taking the piss
  19. Had one of my fans out of balance when I first got my FG. Took ages to find the cause because of how random it would happen (never activated the fan on short cruises trying to diagnose etc) Eventually was noticed and linked to the thermo's. Sounds like the same symptoms you're experiencing - felt like a random, really rough idle that came and went. Replacing the fan (eventually - warranty) fixed the issue
  20. To save you googling the acronym: Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair Meaning the person sitting in the chair is the cause of the issue I.e. - the numpties cause the problem, not fix it
  21. PEBKAC Quite a common computer problem - probably accounts for 99% of the issues I need to fix
  22. I think the ex may have left some Daniel Steele (sp??) movies when she left - will fish out the VCR for you and set it up beside the duvet with a box of choccies for you
  23. Line it up with Titanic and Dirty Dancing BenDoCo and get it all out of your system (I'm going to have to go into hiding the nest time you're headed to Vic aren't I?)
  24. Don't think they have an account here - they have a fairly long topic on the sponsor section of AFF
