  1. I reckon it's probably more his markup etc.   Built to a price that works for him business wise and where it actually works (they are a really, really honestly priced product) and hasn't got the room, nor the interest to play with it.   They really, really are worth trying to work out a group buy on at full retail for anyone waiting for a reason to purchase.   Maybe a BBQ and installation day with a workshop that installs them would be worth looking into?   Seriously - anyone is welcome to take my car for a drive and see why I'm so happy with what they have done with their hard work if they are even half on the fence. 6 months later and I'm still over the moon.
  2. 56k - fark dude, we would all have been at your house watching it slowly come down the screen
  3. I remember getting my first Ping putter when they were new. I remember it didn't stop me 3 putting :(
  4. ^^ nup - isn't a spoof. Just a really good, clever movie Just watched The Raid 2 8/10 - loses a point for a crappy dub, gains a point for being able to show Steven Segal how to break a limb Great action/fights that aren't "overdone"
  5. They had a spate in Vic last season of targeting them The joys of the nanny state
  6. First thing I took off the 14 Wonder if it'll be retroactive or if we could still get pinged
  7. Is that what they call it now?
  8. No huge leap in power, but I reckon it'll pull from a lot lower than current 4's. Can't imagine how much extra will be unleashed once the tuners get a play. Nice step away from the big sport/tourer (CBR1100XX, Hyabusa, ZX14) being the one trying something different/ballsy. Definitely shaping up to be something special. Jay Leno's unveiling (I thought initially the 300hp was the street version) edit: really hope the requirements for the longer rear mudguards are gone by the time it comes here - just wish they'd streamline the whole system
  9. He likes to visit, but wouldn't want to live there
  10. Am up for one myself. A couple of times a week I get the clicks and the slow cranking.
  11. Mine gets turned on maybe once or twice a month. (14yo son) Those who whinged years ago about the TV cutting into family quality time would be wishing to have it back like it used to be Everyone's pretty much able to find their own entertainment now, instead of being forced to settle for what the traditional media served up to us in the lounge room. Family meal times and proper bed times and it's not actually too bad. We actually talk more about the things we've found and that we think the other would be interested in rather than just stare dumbly at the screen while whatever crap sitcom is on. Next step I can see the TV getting used in the future a bit more and us sharing the lounge again with streaming - as it gets easier and more "normal" I can see us finding common interest things to watch again. Interests seem to vary quite frequently too now. One week it might be a certain game, the next a certain series or program etc. Means if something isn't much chop it doesn't get hung onto for long.
  12. What brake kits are you thinking?   Would need to fit under the rims
  13. New Kwaka H2 might be a bit of fun once tweaked
  14. I left mine plugged into the TV at the van :( edit: could be a danger for someone using them in hotel rooms etc
  15. Under $4k I'd do it Under $5k I'd think about it
  16. Cheers Is it worth thinking about or not really realistic?
  17. Any thoughts on this one ^^ Mick? I remember you mentioning people getting good results out of the Precision turbo, but can't recall whether it was just in general conversation or as a possible upgrade path for me. (got my tax cheque coming this week and am itching to find something in addition to household renno's to treat myself to)
  18. All good Happy to be of entertainment value
  19. Did you get the mods/tune done yourself or buy the car as it is now? If you've just got it done, I'd be asking the tuner what his thoughts on it are. If you bought it like that it may have been kept low for a reason or tuned to a level that worked both on LPG and on 98 (a dedicated gas tune could well hit the 300rwkw) I've got 310rwkw on the dedicated gas tune, 275rwkw on a 95 tune (will do a 98 tune one day) and somewhere around 240rwkw on a compromise tune that allows gas or 95 petrol.
  20. Haha. Am just glad they didn't cut the "ex" part.
  21. Am down the van at the moment - streaming Homeland to the TV via the Chromecast
