Lock Compartment Under Front Seat And Window Washer
Rab replied to MrTurboGhia's topic in Territory Turbo
Sorry - not sure with the territory (my paj had the rear bottle in the rear door) - have you got a car manual you could check? Will show where the rear bottle is (although it's not important for your query) If your front bottle is full then Ralph was probably on the mark with his line of questions (hope someone follows up soon) -
This is an XT 1 tonne 5.4l? that's been converted to 4l turbo and now looking at a customer supplied and built (or at least opened and worked on) engine and converted from auto to customer supplied manual box (maybe) The client wants to know what parts they should get and install to get to the 400+rwkw so the shop can tune it and do the remaining work that the customer can't do themselves. If I was the shop signing off on it and doing the finishing touches on it then I reckon I'd be taking my time with this one to make sure I'd crossed every t and dotted every I. edit: was responding to gaz,

Lock Compartment Under Front Seat And Window Washer
Rab replied to MrTurboGhia's topic in Territory Turbo
1. What car? edit: just realised - territory, no idea on the compartment, sorry 2. Front and rear washers/wipers usually use different bottles - is the front one empty? - front bottle is in the engine bay (has a windscreen and wiper embossed on it) -
Was going to say the same Panda Don't be discouraged or frustrated (too much) with the time replies take from your tuner. If they haven't told you to bugger off then they will still be working on it. To you and to them this will be a long project (not urgent) and the right plan at the start is important. It isn't easy when you're raring to go and find what you need, but a couple of weeks (or even a month or so) til they can actually find the space/time to look at the job properly and work out a plan of attack is going to be worth it in the long run. They'll know the work need to be outlined, but it'll be something he needs a good bit of time to set aside thinking about before he can send you anything - and not just 10 mins here, 10 mins there

Will have a brisket on the smoker and beers in the fridge.
-
Outside lane will be pissed off - loser buys beers ;P Am thinking this in the spare room - will have about 80% of the pieces, so it should be easy to source the rest - will add lane changes and pit. Probably remove the side swipes and crossovers and use the lane changes there. That will be a long term plan - need to get the height working (and the other pieces) - would be pretty boring as a flat track (and maybe boring for slots - will see). Short term will be a nice, easy track to learn on with long straights, sweepers, couple of loops, bridges and some chicanes.

Up and running. Hours of fun to be had

Sounds good Bizkets - you able to pick me up some Taco's on the way?

It's what swayed me. Adds a few extra dimensions that should hold the interest for longer. Plus it's a lot easier to get mates round for a beer and a race if it means there's more playing at once.

2 lanes. New(ish) digital system allows up to 6 cars to be controlled independently with lane changing. Can also have 5 cars doing laps, changing lanes, pitting etc under the control of the computer/system while I drive the other car. Thankfully the 6 cars that are coming with the system are meant to be pretty resilient - am sure there's going to be a heap of carnage while I get used this style. Will save the "good" cars for when I'm up to speed and the kids aren't around. Old cars need to be updated to run on the digital system (newer ones take a plug n play chip - older or offbrand might need a chip to be soldered in). The system also has an analogue mode which lets you run older, original cars (but only lets you use 2 cars and individual lanes)

Collection just grew. Got a message from a mate that he was getting rid of 4 cars and 2 complete Bathurst Mayhem sets (which have a Falcon, a Late model camira and over 9m of track in each) Tracks filthy/rusted and doesn't hold power, but a clean up over the weekend should sort that out (unless the kit I ordered turns up - and then I'll be playing instead) Should definitely be able to setup Mt Panorama in the spare room now.

First car just arrived Waiting on the track to turn up now :(

I hate the lot of you. Just bought a scalextric kit. Went overboard - 6 cars racing at the same time Who's up for a beer and a racing session? edit: now I'm going to have to get some aussie cars too :(

I do see the point of finally getting something you've spent so much energy and sweat on to the place you're happy with it though. Given the latest hiccups though, can I ask a quick question? Most of the focus on the new build has been on the engine and the power and the build. Is the rest of the car/ute up to the standard you're happy with? I know you have the niggle with the rims you're allowed to run - any other things that may suggest you'd end up more at peace if you switched out the platform for another one to spend your cash on? How good would it be to be able to take all the decent stuff from your car, choose the project vehicle with all the hindsight you've gained over your last builds and end up with the beast you deserve? And decent rubber at the back Honestly - if the guy you bought the new engine/tranny off was that much of a tnuc scumbag - would you trust what he's sending your way now? How did you pay for the engine/transmission? Might be a way you can get the bank to reverse it as fraud or "goods not as advertised"? You're seriously about to spend $20k plus (once all the incidentals add up) just to make a vehicle you're not totally happy with have more power. And in such a way that is opening you up for a hell of a lot of other stuff to not be satisfied with. I do apologise for most of my posts in your other thread, but, seriously - I do believe you'd end up a hell of a lot better off in the end if you drew the line, took a step back and actually looked at where you could end up at with the coins this build would end up costing you (if you weren't polishing a turd, so to speak) Again - apologies if any of this is rambling or off the mark (have been drinking tonight, pushing out a lot of backed up work and get a bit verbose), but I honestly believe it's time for you to stop being on the receiving end of all the crap and you need to do something major to change the flow :S

Wasn't me - bloody phone took all my pics and made a story book of the weekend (including stitching that pic together) Might show it here: https://plus.google.com/107516695882133520904/stories/a3ab0f8f-669a-32cc-9826-5134d04a2b9e14c452556ac?authkey=CKenn5y3tPykLQ I honestly did nothing - just got a message on my phone that a story had been created. No wonder people scream that we're under surveillance etc
