  1. Will do. I've got the ingredients of an awesome cockpit setup, but never had the room to finish it off as a long term proposition. If the VR ends up working properly (in the future - am not kidding myself that it'll be there yet) then it's going to be a hell of a lot easier to fit it in and make it work.
  2. Cheers - is that fast enough to stream a hour long 800mb movie? (or watch netflix)?
  3. The items have been added to your Steam Library: Project CARS Digital Edition AND You're receiving this email because your Oculus Rift Order is about to ship. I was very interested in the VR headset, but not enough to buy I was very interested in Project CARS, but not enough to buy. Then I thought - "WHY NOT BOTH" Hopefully I'll be spending the upcoming long weekend tearing around Mt Panorama and the Nurburgring in virtual reality. and porn - I'm sure there's porn for the goggles already
  4. Think he meant ADSL2+ He corrected it to 25mb/s What speed are they up to now with ADSL1?
  5. Blame Abbot - bastard wants to make it so we need to actually do some work before we can have a decent income.
  6. Have got a spare couch if you don't trust yourself to drive home after the movie gets the blood going
  7. Stop after that one - pretend Thunderdome didn't happen
  8. Yeah, not sure. Under an hour maybe?
  9. Not sure on ADSL - overnight maybe?
  10. Am on Optus cable - $90/month gets me unlimited internet @ 100mb/s, Fetch TV and a free housephone (not a bad deal if you are paying for a landline at the moment) (not sure if they offer the same deal on ADSL2+) Looks like they do http://www.optus.com.au/shop/broadband/phone/plans/entertainment Also comes with 6 months netfilx.
  11. I reckon cleaning it and trying to isolate the hole's pretty much the best idea. How much pressure runs through the I/C? Soapy water and spray bottle do the trick? How much oil makes it through the IC? Looking a that I'd be expecting the bottom of it to be drowning

    New Members Thread

Welcome Mornington Peninsula myself How long have you had the ute, and what's been done to it so far? Colour? Which of the older Fords are you kicking yourself the most over getting rid of? (XC 351GXL is mine :'( ) Don't need to be a hoon either to "improve" your ride These things respond so well to being touched up that it should be criminal not to.
  13. Opens your choices up greatly. (don't stop looking at any of the others though) Am sure the right car will pop up when it's time.

    Next Vic Cruise

Welcome Jump into the new members thread and introduce yourself (would ask the usual questions here, but not too many would get to know you that way) am tipping you've had a bit of a browse around the forum already? Keep an eye out in this subforum for Evil to post up a thread on the Drive-In catch-up (cruise controllers/mods are the ones who need to actually organise any event)
  15. ..... and still have better fuel economy than Don used to
  16. All good Your post was probably truer though for someone like Phil though than a 9-5'er like me. Once I knock off work for the day I don't really have any options to convert time to money. Phil could have been in his cab earning coin instead of being under the car
  17. If it's a hobby/love , not a business plan or cash making deal then the time spent doesn't come into it. Instead of playing golf, watching telly, drinking at the pub or shooting hookers he was spending his time in the shed. None of those other things get the time spent/money lost thoughts.
  18. Does the extra sideways view they give extra helpful now that you're always sideways since the moar powah?
  19. Aren't the brakes the same across all the turbo models? (or did that come in with the MKII?) Will add - the main (only) differences between a XR50T and an optioned up XR6T is the mirrors/side indicators, dash inserts and the sticker/badge? Reverse sensor/camera standard in either?
  20. Plus colours are different on the G's vs the X's
  21. Was wondering the same. Just needs a red/blue one hidden in there to complete the picture
  22. Does the G6ET have other bits like dimming rearview mirror or auto wipers as well that aren't on the XR50T? The leather in the G is different to the X's. Dual zone climate control? Diff and softer suspension? Ugly "plastic chrome" front grille? (sorry Don) Could also look for the Limited Edition models (in addition to the XR50T) - I think they had leather and a couple of other bits - I know the MKII LE's did, am tipping the earlier ones would have as well. And also keep your eyes open for optioned up base model XR6T's - plenty of people added leather, wheels, premium sound, tow packages etc to their "base model" turbo. Adding all the options to the new car doesn't seem to reflect in a much higher used sale price. For the $20k you'd open up your options by searching for your must haves (leather, premium sound, wheels etc), rather than just a 50 or a G.
