Lol "Mate" with a hybrid electric Camry reckons his car is quick. "All the toque 100% of the time", "instant response" etc He hasn't realised I'm trying to rev him up when I tell him how awesome it is and that he should bring it to the drags. That said - he also speaks of his CB 400 as if it's the ballsiest thing on 2 wheels.

Didn't rotate them (or are you running staggered)? Tread on mine lasted pretty well, but they were seemed to lose a fair bit of traction while there was still tread on them.

Cameras getting installed this week - next little karnt that does anything wrong will get their arse Liam Neeson'd - I WILL find them

Have got a mate pricing me up a 4 cam IP setup today Honeywell high def, night vision etc. Just got a call from Mr Plod - they want me to keep my "ASS" til they drop round today and take some pics

Am off to Supercheap in the morning to get some stuff to try http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Graffiti-Enz-Graffiti-Remover-500mL.aspx?pid=225152#Recommendations Am tempted to spray some other stuff over my numberplate though - cameras can still pick out the letters

Wpmo: Woke up this morning to this: Apparently the kids were active in the neighbourhood last night - I got off lightly. All I got was my numperplate and ASS sprayed on my car. Neighbour got "*beep*" "f*ck of bitch" on the walls of her house and brick fence, bonnet, windscreen side and rear of her car painted Another house up the road got "Niggers" on their wall (new indian family just moved in) and a few other houses got other attention.

Nice My son played his first game last night at a mates place - will be keen to hear his tales of adventure when he gets home

Am still doing the lame puppy pics - but yeah, made me feel good. Browsed Foxtel - saw "Dog Hotel" I wondered if it would work. It did

We had that all in the same day at the supers around that time too - we took a tarp to shelter from the rain under - we ended up sheltering from the sun under it. I've always (and still do) say when I'm on the bike: Extreme wind, rain or cold - any 2 of them and I'm happy. all 3 at once and I'm not

Am starting to worry about the SA cars Going for a drive and not having any problems should be the norm - not something to cheer about :S "Fark hon - made it home from the milkbar in one piece" shouldn't be more common than "Here's the milk and bread"

Did they have the chips when we were there?

I used to love watching them in the 90's - as they come out of Siberia there would be a huge "wobble" as they went into the straighter bit. Looked so scary and exciting. Feels friggin awesome to actually ride round the track and work out that you get the exact same "wobble" - direction change and gear change and it actually feels natural - isn't scary at all. The height change through Lukey is also something you don't get a sense of on telly - they're going flat knacker over the crest of a hill that is totally blind on the other side - 2nd only to the corkscrew at Laguna Seca as far as I'm concerned. The dipper at Bathurst would come third.

It leaves from Bairnesdale on thursday morning - the town is just down the road from Lakes (like seriously it's the next town on the way to Cowes) Ends at the track with a ride around the circuit. Actually - depending what time you leave Lakes you'll more than likely become part of it by default - may as well make it official and get the bonus of the lap around the track instead of wondering about the 1,000 odd bikes on the road with you that morning Sheene ride I've been to almost every GP and WSB there since 89 (have got my own onsite van in Cowes). Have never been other than general admission. The track has so many fantastic viewing positions you'd limit yourself too much by picking a grandstand without getting a feel for the track first. I'd recommend general - you can always upgrade to a stand for the Sunday once you've worked out if you need one or not. Definitely walk around the circuit first (I find anti clockwise the best way - gets rid of the tough slogs early) Try to beat my mates effort of a doughnut from each stand on the way around. Other advice: food on the Island is awesome. Try to get to Eddie's pizza (Isola Di Capri) at least once. He's an institution and huge fan of the bikes (memorabilia and pics etc - in a "here we are with Rossi in Italy" way, not a tacky way). Mexican at the other end of town is also great - better than any Taco Bill I've been to. Steak is great in the joint at the Chapel St/Main St roundabout. Pies from the Cowes bakery are the best I've had - depending on how hungover you are it's either one of them for brekkie on the way to the track, or the "hangover plate" from the hippy looking place down the road. Seafood at Harry's is also top notch, but usually blows the budget for a "boys weekend" Definitely head down to Seal Rock and do the walk to the blow hole. Head to the penguins and koalas if it's of any interest. If buying meat for the BBQ the butcher in San Remo or the meat co-op on the road to seal rock/penguin parade are a big level above what the supermarkets offer. Last bit of advice: pack sunscreen and wet weather gear. It's usually stinking hot, pissing down or both. Also - take an empty can or block of wood with you to put under your bikes side stand when you park it. The ground can get soggy. That should stop it from sinking into the ground.
