Yeah - can't see them going to anything that would require going through a new round of emissions or safety testing
  2. I think he's talking 5 years between changing his main car? (another 4 years on the current donk) Not that unusual when buying new.(warranty/resale etc) Fluff seems to change cars every few weeks, but she's female (and I think her last couple were second hand?)
  3. Lol. I got rid of 2 (wives) when they got catty. Decided to just play with kittens and not buy any more. Nothing worse than a cute kitten that ends up going feral later
  4. I wanted one of them since I was a kid Even promised the old man I'd do the lawn every weekend if he got one (he never did).
  5. Yeah - will likely leave the WiFi off for the most part Turn it on when parking in the city or dodgy areas etc - should be fine in my driveway where it lives for 90%of it's life Will give it a couple of days and see how much data it uses - if it's negligible I'll probably leave it on.
  6. Just installed and playing with a new dashcam. Blackvue DR650GW-2ch Front and rear cameras, GPS (tracking as well), WiFi (can view the feed from anywhere over the cloud - have got an old mobile hostpot in the glovebox - will keep an eye on the data useage of the unit before deciding whether to keep it on wifi 24/7 or just occasionally), parking mode, push notifications of events.......... Pretty damn impressive unit - can even have a chat with someone that's in the car while I'm elsewhere and see where they are and what speed they're doing. ~$520 including the battery saver box (cuts off power to the unit if the battery gets low) Definitely not the cheapest one out there (probably one of the more expensive units) but I can't think of any functions it's lacking.
  7. Took one round Oz with the ex on the back - round Tassie, Ayers Rock, Kakadu, Gold Coast etc - was the perfect bike for it - everything from the twisites in Tassie to the Stuart Highway in the NT. I know they were classed as a super-sport, but, setup correctly they make an awesome tourer.
  8. Love kittens, hate cats. Shame you can't trade them in once they get to a certain size. Hate people who want/buy kittens, then dispose of it once it grows out of the cute stage.
  9. Almost as sad as Woodrow the Wonder Dog
  10. Server hamster has run out of redbull

Can be fixed with a dead cow throw rug over the back seat
  12. Have now got a floor and walls. Everything is cut in and ready for sealing, Definitely helps when you have a mate doing the work who's a total bargain hunter - and no female involved choosing the hardware/colours/feng shui etc. Am really, really hoping his boss is crook for another month or so and the mate gets his rates notice in the mail. Am paying him a fair hourly rate for what he's doing, but the value he brings to the work exceeds what he's costing me.
  13. WPMO: My phone does some magic behind the scenes where it grabs a heap of pictures and videos that you take at an even at makes a collage sort of thing with transitions and panning etc. Got home from AC/DC Sunday night and it popped up on my notifications. "Ah, cool slideshow" Posted it on facebook (from the phone) and thought it was a pretty cool "feature" Wasn't until I played it back on FB that I realised it had some f*cking Adele like soundtrack over the top of it and no audio from the actual show or anything (there was no audio when I watched it on the phone before posting it) I think I've ruined the memory of the night for a few of my mates :S
  14. Haha - anyone else I wouldn't have commented, but I'm comfortable sharing jibes with you
  15. Just imagine what mine would be like if I didn't pay taxes to fund your car mods And now that you don't drink or smoke we don't get most of it back via the taxes on tobacco/alcohol. Luckily fuel scrapes a bit back
  16. If you're looking at foreclosure you take up pizza delivery, sh*t shovelling or even parking inspector jobs til you get back on your feet.
  17. lol - $30 bunnings povo kits - should be a totally new bathroom renno for $2500 I've never gone into anyones bathroom and though "Oh WOW" At least when it's finished I'll be able to go into mine and not go "Oh EWWW"
  18. I think I took over the company and ended up not getting a return (the years payroll tax paid went against profits to lower the tax bill instead of a refund to me) Can bet your bottom dollar though that the bathroom is a business expense - need to keep the client restroom presentable.
  19. Should turn out pretty decent - will be a breath of fresh air for the house Am wrapped with how cheap it looks like turning out Hopefully his boss takes a turn for the worse - have got a sh*tload of other work round the house that needs to be done
  20. I've had a rooted bathroom floor for the last few years (people who were staying in the house when I moved out clogged the shower drain and just let it overflow onto the floor - ending up with rot) Had a mate drop in Sat night; mentioned he had no work this week as his boss is in hospital. .......... I've got a bathroom that needs a "little bit" of work..... He's got bills to pay....... I really hope he turns up tomorrow About $1k in materials so far - 2 showers and bases (am doing my ensuite as well), bath, floating vanity and all piping, taps and sealants - wood and tiles to go as far as Bunnings stuff goes.
  21. You may need to pack a portable HDD for the tassie cruise Evil (they're actually for the Surface Pro's, not the GoPro's, but will be handy on long trips)
  22. Just got a phone call - off to AC/DC in 20 minutes I like surprises
