Been a while since I got to admit the last splurge I had, so here goes...
Got roped in to learning to fly (getting my pilot licence)
It's not cheap to learn (will take me a few years to get my ticket because I haven't got the cash to do it quick) so I figured that I'm better off learning as much as I can at home, instead of in the air where it costs.
So - for under $500 I managed to get all the controls of the Cessna I'm learning in
I've downloaded the plane and the airport I'm flying from and am going to setup my old unit into a flight sim to help me spend less time in the air learning.
I've got all the controls (to hook up to the computer) from the red bit down - yoke, left switches, throttle switches, pedals, trim etc in the cockpit picture.
Gauges and radios will be on the screen (I don't touch them at this point, so just have to get used to glancing at them)
I'm going to set it all up in the old Monaco GP racing box (gut the unit and set it up as a cockpit)
