Yep - have got the step daughter and grandaughter living with me now - she actually makes her own food for the bub (veggie mush etc) - this will be a huge help for her.
She also occasionally forgets the stove is on when she rushes off to tend the munchkin - if I can move her to the new unit it'll set my mind at ease.
I live on my BBQ and it's my true love - there's no way this thing is going to compete there. Used in conjunction with the Q though - can see it working well (fresh sauces, rubs, veggies etc)
I was looking at all these troubles before I bought - looks like it's the older Australian only model between a certain date that was having the issues where they moved production to a different factory
Yeah - was looking at both of them and the new Kitchenaid one
I think the Tefal is 2.5l (not 4l - you're thinking of the barra) vs 2.2l
The Thermomix comes with the steamer, is an accessory for the Tefal
I think the Tefal wins slightly in size, the Thermo in functions
Wasn't really ready to buy either but this one popped up at a price that made me move on it
Just bought a Thermomix (bought 2nd hand for cheap(er) - didn't join the cult)
Don't really know why I got it yet - have been eying them off for ages and it just popped up.
I think the kids are going to get sick of soup and risotto in the short term
Delivery works for me for the weekly shop - works brilliantly
Sort by specials - works out cheaper even after the delivery cost than if I was browsing with the trolley
Can work out and order each meal individually instead of trying to remember all the items in aisle order
Can check the fridge/cupboard mid order for stuff I may have missed or am unsure if I have any
Can log back in and make changes/additions after I've submitted the order - no more "ah f*ck - forgot toilet paper" when I get home from the shop
No impulse purchases
No need to deal with the scum that congregate around Frankston Quayside
No need to worry about parking.
One of the girls who deliver is pretty cute
Yep - there are a fair few that were open 24/5 or 24/7, but most of those have gone back to midnight closing mon/fri - 10pm sat/sun
Much nicer shopping when you have the whole store to yourself
Decided I wanted beef ribs for dinner so got up early (8:30 - early for a Sunday) to head to Costco so I'd have time to chuck them on around 11am.
Store doesn't open til 10 :(
Hotcakes and coffee later I grabbed the ribs and took them home, prepped them and went to fill the cooker with charcoal.
f*cking lid (very heavy ceramic dome ~30kgs??) decided it was a good time to smash closed on my finger while I wasn't looking.
I swore - was sure I'd crushed a knuckle or broken the finger. Slowly getting movement back and the swelling and bruising is going down.
Thread is fine - can't think of a better record of the effort you're going to with both the ute and the Expensive Daewoo .
Would be a shame to lose all the pics and trials you've put up just for the sake of being polite.
I think most people have gotten to know you and the way you work and have stopped facepalming long ago - if they haven't then it's their choice to keep reading the thread and commenting or not.
I don't think there's a single person here who won't be cheering when it all eventually comes together - would be a shame for all the steps you've gone through to all just be condensed into a new, sterile thread.
If you still feel like you need a fresh start, could I suggest instead of deleting it asking it to be locked away in the donating members subforum (will shout you the cost of joining the donating members if you want)
