WMMFG:
Pokemon Go (no, I'm not playing it)
Every afternoon the school kids walk past my place on their way home - that's normal.
Now there's apparently 2 PokeGyms in the park outside my office (loungeroom) window and a couple of spots to find other pokemon pretty close.
Now all the kids who walk past have their head stuck in their phone until they get to the corner.
Once at the corner they seem to bunch together, chat amongst them selves and make decisions on which way to go.
Am sure it's got kids talking to other ones that they'd have never even spoken a word to.
Year 12 students chatting with year 7 students, random groups talking to each other.
I reckon this is going further towards a sense of community amongst the children and teens than any government or do-gooder outreach program ever did.
