    This - bottle of something I'm mixing will last a night or 2 Bottle of decent scotch will last a week or more. All it really takes is the right scotch at the right time and your eyes will be opened There's heaps of milder flavoured ones with none of the peaty coal taste. Definitely ^^ Also give the Irish a go (Jamesons, Tullamore Dew are the regular shop ones) - go quite nice with soda

    Two of the regulars Twisted I know, but I love Laphroaig as well - (even if it does taste like odor eaters - love the strong peat/smoke/charcoal)

    +1 on Jimmy, the basic white bottle is swill I don't mind the Rye, nor a few of their small batch lines though. JD for the default on the shelf, CC for variety. Makers and Turkey aren't bad, but not often tempted to pay the premium for something I'm going to use with a mixer - would rather get a nice single malt for a couple of bucks more. Would be willing to give this one a try though

    Was in reply saying you'll demote yourself to silver DM, but retain the ability to admin the site. Was suggesting a status that reflects that (to give you recognition and also to highlight who to send complaints to) would be preferable
