  1. Ouch Dead right with Aust Post - Had an express post item I sent out just after they upped the prices. For some reason it wasn't delivered and was sent back to me. They wanted me to pay the fee again for the return before I could pick up the item - WTF?
  2. Loved them when they came out - mid mount 5l in an alfa Was one that driver was killed in at the drags a few years ago
  3. Wet qualifying for Silverstone. Place your bets on Lorenzo's starting position for tomorrow Will tip 8th
  4. Yeah - wish the little fella went that way. For some reason he prefers trying not to be hit in face and not have to worry about legs etc Me - I prefer not to be hit at all, so watch it from the lounge upstairs Friggin rude when they decide to run an aerobics session upstairs while I'm concentrate on the boxing below
  5. Yeah - mate's got a gym near me where Tum's been training/teaching. Son's been taking up boxing there over the last year of so - he's given muay thai, krav and boxing a go and keeps returning to boxing. Hadn't seen Tum in anything other than a social setting til the 15yo took up boxing - surprised the hell out of me - would never pick him as one of the best
  6. Looks very tidy BCB Think I missed the updates - Temps good?
  7. My old man's headed from Melb to Syd on thursday. Don't think the ZF would fit in the Skoda though with all mums baggage :(
  8. WMMFG: Mate picking up a title overseas Go TUM :D
  9. Wouldn't have fitted in the BRZ/86 - Kluger wins this round
  10. Lucky crunt - would kill for socks I'll get a cold coffee
  11. Lucky farker My kids lose/rust my tools, not give me new ones
  12. Bedding them in - should be ready to test tomorrow That's the idea All the brakes upgrade will do though is highlight the next deficiency to be dealt with - am tipping cooling (oil/air/water) and grip
  13. Just do it after scrutineering I know the track day I did on the bike that my exhaust was over the limit but they didn't bat an eyelid. Have got a mate with a Clubby who just decided to sign up for the day - definitely need some more taxi's to come along now
  14. Depends where they measure from. Princess Highway outside would be louder than 74db when running smooth if measured from the side of the road. Passenger car at 65 mph at 25 ft (77 dB); freeway at 50 ft from pavement edge 10 a.m. (76 dB).
  15. Yeah, will be looking at club days in the future - just want to get the first one done with all the help and pointers I can. Get rid of any bad habits etc and find out the weak points in my setup/car that I need to address. Lap timing is expressly forbidden on the training days, but I'm sure the dashcam and gopro will give me close enough times after the event. Will look into the apps too. I'll be miles off any sort of consistency for it to be of any use other than interest or embarrassment anyway. Will probably be using the phone to monitor/log data/temps. Not sure on the spectating side - will find out if there's some interest, but doubt "Watch Rab go round Sandown" would get many takers
  16. 45l to fill Round town (short trip stop/start) I get around 200-220kms a tank - Sometimes 180, sometimes 230. Country 300-320+kms Pretending I'm a racecar through the hills 250-280kms. Overall it's crap around home, ok once I go anywhere else. $25 to fill though and you really don't care. Really should drive on petrol only for a few weeks to work out a proper comparison - especially around town. That said - putting the car on gas was what allowed me to justify getting any mods in the first place. Without the gas I'd still be driving around in a stock FG
  17. Am sure the Bendix Ulti brake dust will calm the glare pretty quick
  18. Hey guys, I've booked myself in for a day at Sandown on 22/10/2016 for some trackwork and training (training is sort of optional) as an introduction to doing some track days and thought I'd see if anyone else was interested. I've done similar before on the bike and was blown away with how much I learnt and had an absolute blast doing it. Cost is $350 (not sure how much a "free for all" trackday or club days costs, but am after a bit of guidance for my virginity), goes over 8 hours (with at least 20 mins track time each hour), includes instructors being available and lunch/refreshments. Details are here: https://driverdynamics.rezdy.com/44567/high-performance-training-and-race-track-driving-day-sandown Let me know if interested - would be great to catch up with some of you and share the day.
