  1. I paid $43000 on road with 6 speed and a canopy.
  2. That sounds great! Cant wait! I will trade the ute in for the new auto!
  3. I love your plates Geeseman!
  4. To be honest JB I dont think that the factury 6 speed is any better. Sometimes I get gear crunching going into third. I thought it was just my driving but my brother has the same problem when he drives it. I dont think the 6 speed can handle much more power but I could be wrong. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I am not sure myself All I know is the T5 is not overly strong with various members getting different results out of them. I was looking at a T56 as Ben from Mal Woods and others believe that it will hold the power alot better than the T5. Bruce is now running 390rwkw and has installed a T56 and it seems to be handling that power well, so from that and a couple of othersw experiences with the T56 I would say it's the next step above the T5, as No one has got past 330rwkw with the T5. With that being said the T56 whilst seeming to be able to handle the power better than the T5, still has very similar issues with bearing noise, not wanting to go into gear and so on. Maybe just a trait again of some of the ford put in their cars. If I was you try changing your gearbox oil to Castrol Transmax Z, this will no doubt improve your shift and I would suggest help it engage the problem gear you are having. This is what most people including myself have done. There is a thread on which is the best oil to use under Mal Wood Autos, have a read. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for the advice JB. I might get the mechanic to drop the gearbox oil at the next service and try out the Castrol.
  5. Everyone should call you MIDAS. You have the MIDAS TOUCH! Everything you touch turns to GOLD!

  7. Interesting point. HYPOXR, how old was your car when the engine blew? What is the manufacture date? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Given the fact its a 6 speed, I would assume it is a Mk2, which makes it very young. I may be wrong though, I was once before. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No you are right Eugene. My ute is in Lightning Strike as well.
  8. Interesting point. HYPOXR, how old was your car when the engine blew? What is the manufacture date? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The manufacture date is Nov 2004. It is a MKII with the factory 6 speed.
  9. Yeah I had given it some stick here and there but not all the time. I couldnt hear any detonation in the time that the kit was fitted. I was told that I could drive it hard all day everyday. As soon as it blew up the dealer who sold me the kit didnt want anything to do with it.
  10. My ute made only 5psi at maximum power dropping off back to 4.7psi. It made 192kwrw with a Herrods exhaust and a XR8 induction.
  11. I had an APS Phase II in my ute and the engine only lasted 2000kms. It is a 6 speed manual though. It actually threw a rod out of the side of the block. I also had to change the clutch. my ute only made 293rwkw. Now I have had the engine rebuilt or should I say a new engine with a set of rods and left the standard pistons. But the APS kit will be coming out.
  12. Because the drivers of this colour car know they have made a big mistake in going for this girly colour. They have to then modify them to try to regain some masculinity <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well said Greg, it's also to do with you all being small. LOL Scotty <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  13. So TRUE!
  14. I like the Mercury Silver and I reckon it looks classy.
