  1. random request here, does anyone have a link to the ebay falcon turbo 3540 rebuild kits, Not sure if they dont sell them anymore or its due to my location in NZ, but I cant find them anywhere. FYI not for my car wouldn't use that crap.
  2. How did I get brought into this? Lol
  3. Something always has to go farking wrong ?? decided to buy a pro flow surge tank (eBay admittedly) to try save some coin, wired up the 2 044s, started, ran, drove it to the shop no dramas, got a call later on saying my car was pissing fuel out when you start it. Pulled it back out, ended up being terrible welds had cracked and as the surge tank pressurised, was forcing fuel out the sides. So a bit of a set back. Also informed to fire shield my heater hoses and clutch lines etc near the dump pipe for longevity. Recommendations om the fuel setup ideas? didn't like the noise of the pumps, thinking a process west submerged dual pumps idea, are they actually quiet?
  4. Starts, runs and drives nicely, off to get tuned some time this week or next, I'll get the video up too...somehow, or at least a link to it
  5. Is it possible you may have driven in the wet and gone through a puddle? With the under battery intake I've seen that once before, from what I hear, Joe is the man and this would be the first bad thing I've heard from his workshop. Sorry to hear
  6. Off to get the dump pipe made up this week, been catching up on bills and work training so the ute had to go on the back burner for a bit. Hoping to start it up end of this week ?? dyno vids will be posted on YouTube, I'll drop the link on here as soon as I get it! Being tuned by Chris at Autotech in Canberra, a former colleague of mine, I love his work
  7. Alrighty sweet thanks guys, Im squeezing in a trans service this week and I'll do the trans cooler next. As for line pressure increases, is it all adjusted through the pcm? No physical changes?
  8. So I got a ba xr6 turbo for a steal, needs a new rear cradle as the previous owner ran out of ability. So I'm gonna do a bit of experimenting on this old girl, engine I'm confident with, tuning I'm sort of confident with, but trans mods and I haven't had much to do together. I've read a few pages on here mentioning valve body mods, early model oil pump and disabling the s3 and s4 solenoids in the box, do a trans cooler and maybe a stall if the budget allows. This is all to do on the side after I finish my xr6 turbo ute. Turbotrana I think mentioned the trans mods, if anyone felt like sharing, that'd be great. I'm planning on doing all this myself, cheers
  9. I can't upload pics anymore, happy to send them to someone to put up onto this page!
  10. Engine and box in, still got a few little bits and pieces to sort out and money to save before its off to the tuner!
  11. It's probably more of a mental thing, I certainly feel better knowing there's one in my engine, just use main studs if your not going nuts
