I had the same issue on my 03 BA XR6T and just today pulled it apart and found that the exhaust manifold bolts under the heat shield were very loose (one was almost completely undone) anyway, I tighten all the bolts and the problem has gone completely.

I also have the same issue but have not found what causes it on my 02 xr6t

Hi, I have a BA 2003 XR6T with the same issue, I have replaced fuel filter, coils, plugs, PVC valve, air filter and had the throttle body cleaned with no luck. It still will not go beyond 4000rpm on boost. Any more suggestions on this problem?
