  1. I am having the smae problem!. With the flash tune and with stock tune. I will have to check these wires. Anyone have the stalling problem and not be the wires?
  2. Hi Guys. I just picked up my new silver TT GHIA. Very nice car indeed. I am little dissapointed with thr throttle response off the line. Hopefully once I run it in the Ford flash will fix that . Does anyone have any recommendations on where I should take it in Vic for some little mods? I have just started looking.

  4. Hi Guys, I am now making 265rwkw's and am wanting to take the next step. What valve springs to you guys recommend for about 350rwkws? Nizpro? BF? any others taht may be better? I want to buy some springs which are going to lats if I decide to rebuild the engine and REALLY chase power. ARe the Nizpro ones just XR8 springs? Any feedback would be great, I'm eager to get the ball rolling Thanks
  5. Hi guys can you please tell me where in Melbourne is the best place to get an edit and what would I expect to pay? Ford have just serviced my car and I think they flashed the ECU. Car now idles high and chews juice. I just want to get it running well and make a safe & healthy 240rwkw. Thanks.

    I dont mean to hijack this thread, but what about the manual? What is the power rating for a stock gearbox and clutch? Anyone know yet? PS. Yarra Valley are definately the way to go. I had a VL turbo years ago and they did an awesome job on the auto. Held together with 320rwkw.

  8. Thanks for all of your feedback guys its great. Has anyone dynoed their car before and after the ss induction? Was the bonnet closed on the dyno? obviously when the bonnet is open the SS kit will work great but what happens when its closed? It won't work as well.
  9. I'm interested in the SS induction kit for the T and was hoping someone might have some feedback on it? It is quite expensive for a cold air intake so am wanting to know if it is worth it.
  10. Thanks for the tips Blonk but the XR6T is just my daily toy. My real beast is my GTR which Track regularly. This has major mods, so the XR6T will remain mild. Thanks again.
  11. Turbo6man if you have ever driven on the track then you would know how important it is to go from 5th to 3rd. So no not only dickheads do this. Anything under 100kmph is quite ok for the car and it heavily reduces the wear of brakes and decreases your stopping distance. But thank you anyway for your input. Now, anyone used a short shifter yet? I am quite interested in them.
  12. Thanks for the tip Trough Lolly. Blonk I am still running it in so I need to be gentle. Also when slowing down quickly from 100kmph 5th to 3rd is the easiest way to help slow donw quick. Anyone use a short shift yet? Brand? Feedback?
  13. Thanks for the welcome guys. The colour of my T is Vibe. It's a new metalic purple. Gorgeous colour. I think I got a pretty good buy. Drive away $42k with leather, premimum sound, heavy duty tow bar and mats. Great value car. Pitty about the gearbox. I think I still might look into short shifters. Any suggestions?
  14. Hi Guys, I just picked up my new MK1 Turbo. Great car! But I have a coupl of problems already. When I try to down gear from 5th gear at 80kmph to 3rd the gearbox won't let me. Is this a common problem in the 5 speed? does a short shift fix this? Also I have a squeek in the rear right, it sounds like a shocker or the spring not being alined properly? This seems to be a common problem, has anyone had a fix? Your help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to fix these things before I mod it. (Aiming for a mild 270rkw). Thanks.
