Do you have Coventries in Sydney? They list the STD Ford BA 9F593 A for the XR6T and the upgraded injector as the 0280155968 its actually comes up on their screen when they lookup the STD part number. They stock both in Coventries Perth but the 968 is double the price of the STD squirt.

I found a PDF fuelinjectors.pdf on the 280 155 968 Dual spray Long Body which seems to be popular. I think the STD one is a 280 156 123 Dual spray Long Body ?? No idea which one in the list is ugenes though. 3rd page down the bottom you will see them listed Cheers

Interesting read pal. There was a post here I read the other day when they swaped injectors after bad Air Fuel and seemd to fix it. Maybe not related but interesting.

The Cooks Fairmont Ghia has the Fog/Driving lights and it was recalled to have them altered by Ford Due to the Laws in WA. I didn’t follow exactly what Ford did to get around the law but Now what happens is when you Turn left the Left Fog/Driving Light comes on and when turning right the Right Fog? Driving Light comes on… I gather this is so you can “See” around corners hahhahaha as they now point more outward and at night it does help a little. It may be a $100 fine in WA but at least Radar Detectors are Not Banned in WA…. Have you had your picture taken lately? Not I :o :o

So in 6 months time when your Tornado is available, the towie will arrive just in time to cart your sorry ass back to the dealership............. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its OK they have stocked up on GT's to cover my Ass just in case That is "IF" the F6 ever turns up 6 Months now and still not even on the production line Maybe a maloo is the go but the old ones couldnt keep up to my Ute now so the new one would want to be good.

Dont go out driving in the F6 without a Mobile phone just incase you need a tow truck :lol:

Hey Doc, I don’t know who you deal with or if they have been told to tell you nothing but I received a phone call From Nu-Ford on Friday last week telling me they received an official response from Ford stating the ceased production of the F6 due to clutch problems. They had little else in the Ford memo other than to say on Monday Ford would release another Memo stating the fault, outcome and projected time frame. Then on Monday (Yesterday) around 9 am I received a phone call From Nu-Ford who read me the official Ford response and problems. The fault as it was explained to me was. The Circlip on the second Clutch plate comes adrift allowing the plate to drift back and contact the Pressure plate face when disengaged causing hard or no gear change and heat buildup resulting in plate degradation then ultimately failure. I’d suggest before you get much more excited to Sack your current Ford dealer and move on because Ford Do keep the dealers informed it’s more a case of if the dealer takes the time to read them and if the dealer thinks its worth passing it onto the customer or just treat him like a mushroom. You run a business mate and you know damn well it’s a people’s game and Ford and many dealers have just as many Wallies working for them as you would have sacked in your time. Its up to people like you and me to find a good dealer and then a good salesman who will look after you and keep you informed and not feed you bullsh!it and ultimately Fix or rectify or sack any problems you might encounter. I know of the Ford dealer you are with and I bought my first car from them 28 years ago and have NOT bought one from them since, even though I have visited them once or twice in this time they still don’t care about the customer in my opinion. In the last 28 years I’d say I have purchased some 45 new Ford vehicles and as such they are the losers not me. The experience with them almost changed my way of thinking and I “almost” bought Holdens.. Since then I have had problems even with the current dealer, don’t get me wrong but that always comes down to the salesman and when the one you deal with leaves or retires the problems all start over again. Maybe with your Total negative and unforgiving attitude at present the dealer has shut up shop with you and maybe just hopes the hell you go away? I don’t know Doc. Me mate? I’d be relaxing and talking to another dealer and I’m sure there would be one brave enough or silly enough out there not only to tackle you but to sort out your current problems.. Hey it’s only a car and what man made man can fix!!! “If” he wants to please the customer and if he doesn’t he can make life very miserable toooooooooooooooooooooooo. The other problem you might have Doc is if the dealer has black listed you as a bad customer?? Or should I say difficult customer? Then it might be hard to move onto another Ford dealer and ultimately you might have no choice but to change brands?????????????? Good luck mate. I’d pass you onto someone I know but I don’t know I want to be involved personally. Man made it man can fix it.....Its all in the attitude...........

bugger me NSW must be about 10 years behind Western Austarlia :lol: Here they have been sending out infrigments for years and in the past a lot of Company managers use to just bin them or say " Dont know who as I have 100 employee" Not any more sadly What they do now is if a fine is not paid due to the actaul driver not being identified then the company must pay the bill. If the company does not the said vehicle is de-registered :o No good filling the courts up.....This is forcing companies to track and "dob" in the actual drivers or have their vehicles put off the road. Cummins used it on the K19 engines the last one I saw was about 5 years ago in a 100Ton excavator Hitachi. The same engine now is called a QSK and has gone back to the single Turbo but with a large but far more efficient turbo. The emission laws dictate most of these new ideas and as they went from mechanical fuel to electronic they could do away with the first turbo but as time creeps on they might well have to go back to the twin to reduce emmisions. Not an XR6T but still a BIG six cylinder with a Turbo or two all the same hehhehehe

and why not? It has been used to reduce lag in engines before today and with success so its a real possiblility but with technology nowdays it is thought of as old hat. Interesting they talk of it!!!

Good idea F6 I'd be keen to see some data on the F6 in one thread. Lets hope we see some and not all the pro's and cons on the old pigybacks

I dropped into Nuford yesterday and I gather it was you taking delivery of the Rapid Typhoon? With the Numberplate "TYPHOONF6"? I took the other Rapid Demo Typhoon (0074) for a 40 min cruise while you were there. (Very Tight with only 80km on the clock) What can I say???????????????????????? Well Id suggest if you have a bad ticker or dont have enough money to buy one DONT test drive one co's you will either croak it or become very depressed that you cant afford it. Magnificent set of wheels and It definately kicks the GT's ass in every possible way except in a straight line the GT might keep up but you would have to Rev the box clean out of it to keep up unlike this machine which you can just well almost drive it like a auto it has so much low down grunt in any gear the bloody thing would be unbeatable in an Auto id say. Im a Ute type person and as such will be waiting for my new Tornado even though its a manual. HSV will have to pull something out of the hat to match this and lets face it, what sort of engine technology do they have that is equal to this? NONE!!!!!!!!! BLOODY AWSOME DRIVE BTW: YTRY4 those number plates in Black look bloody great on the yellow, actually Black and yellow go so well and looking at the yard full of cars this was by far the best there a excellent choice mate
