Just got the phase II today. 272rwkw. The car is backfiring when I hit the rev limiter. I seem to have lost the turbo whistle (I will have to test that more). When I back off to change gear, it sounds like a waste gate fluttering but that could be more backfiring. I like the APS stamping on the chrome tips

My ute is having the phase II done today/right now. I pick it up in about two hours. I will post my RWKW here later.

I just had a quote from AAMI. 2004 XR6T manual ute with Tow bar, hard cover, paint protection, chip, exhust ( APS II ). $876 !!!!!!! My current insurance is $1100 and no mod's allowed. I'm changing insurance and then getting the phase 1 to phase 2 upgrade ! Thanks all for putting me onto AAMI.

Jason. I'm in Canberra. Installed by DTS in Fyshwick. They want the car back after one tank of fuel has gone through it. Did you have to take your's back? Phase 2 sounds good. Are you just getting phase 2 and the intercooler? Is that worth doing or do you need all the other phase 3 bits as well? Craig.

So. How many Km's did you have on the car. Mine had over 6000. I did notice the rev limiter cuts in soner than it did before. Maybe it's time for me to get phase 2 now. :lol:

I think your torque figures might just be a wee bit to high! Looking at the APS stats..I think you may be right. I'm just reading the figures off the print out they gave me - 914.8 Nm @ 3852 rpm 793.8 Nm @ 3446 rpm The sheet also says - Atmospheric correction applied:yes. Hmm.

Just got my first mod APS phase 1. Before 193.2 kw / 793.8 nm After 231.3 kw / 914.8 nm Wondering how this compares with others? Any idea what sort of kw are at the motor now?

I've done 6200 since about 10/12/04..that's 8 weeks.. Hmm, that's 775km per week.

All my cars have been manual and all V8's (VB, VK, VN, VR, VT). I know how to treat a clutch. I first thought, the wheels are spinning but then I noticed the traction..no slippery feeling. I faned the throttle to see if things would take up, they didn't. Then the smell came..I had to smell it for the next 20 min. Dare I say, None of my Holdens ever did that !! Then I open the paper on Friday..and what did I see? A full page story on faulty Ford clutches...damn.. Do you think Ford will offer the "AP racing clutch" option if I pay the extra? Ps: It hasnt happened since and I have been conducting "testing".

Took off this morning to merge with traffic and the clutch slipped badly. The car only has 4500km on it. Is this normal? The Ford service dept guy said he had never heard of it before. He asked me if the car was "on boost"...I didn't want to say F**k YEAH ! I said I'm not sure but it was a hard take off. Is this common? How many rev's can the clutch handle when dumping?

Problems are never as bad the next day. There is only one really bad dent that can be spotted from a few meters away. Spoke to the Dent King in Canberra (hope he's no relation to the plow king). Going to have a quote on Tuesday. Looking at some of the cars at work...I think I got off easy!

Carpark at work...14:00 today...Canberra.. 20c piece sized hail.. Bonet has 10+ marks...One mark you can see withought looking... The roof has three small marks. No paint damage but you can see the dents if you look. The Ute has 4200km on it..had it about two months ! My insurance excess is $450. I was going to take the car to the ute show in Feb..but... Any idea if its worth fixing? ..new bonet might be worth less than the insurance exess.. I'm drinking now and it might magicly fix it's self while I sleep. I could live with the problem but I know it's there.. I guess I could wait until a really BIG hail storm and have it all fixed at once...

Me too..Stock as well. It's like the car slows too much and then has to make up the speed in a hurry then it has to slow down quick and so on.
