  1. For that avge speed, your fuel figures are normal. Stop/start, car parks what can a bloke do? The only other thing that might play into it is fuel. You are using 98, right? Anything less will normally give you less kms. ws
  2. I came across a bunch at DealExtreme that are cheap. I have no idea which if any would work for the falcon. I have found DealExtreme to be cheap and reliable in shipping other stuff. Sometimes the quality of goods is a bit to be desired, and I have seen comments that some various brand names are allegedly fake. But it's hard to complain - you get what you pay for. Read the reviews/comments carefully. Good luck ws
  3. Wouldn't pre-june BF require valve springs as well? ws
  4. C'mon, don't leave us hanging here. Were you really only doing 130? ws
  5. That's so funny it's worth a riot at Bob Jane's. ws
  6. The V8SCs have no relation to any cars that are actually sold. So, I don't see why any manufacturer can't join in. I would be happy to support the V8 Kia or Skoda. ws
  7. Feel for you mate. I lost a couple of tyres and rims in Sydney wrecked on crappy roads. Gave up and went back to 17s. So far, so good.... ws
  8. To help the neighbours contrast 'fast', I recommemd setting up staging lights and seeing what best top speed is by end of street. ws
  9. Thanks very much for the info. Much appreciated! ws
  10. Is this just for looks or performance purposes? qs
  11. One thing to be aware of. Even in manual mode, with the ZF if you floor it beyond the accelerator detente, if it can, it will kick down. That *might* explain the first part, but doesn't really explain the 2nd part of your problem (stuck in 5th). I thought they stuck in 3rd when the box went into 'trouble' mode. Good luck and let us know how you go ws
  12. so what ends up being 'turned off' or disabled because the higher power output kills things with a tune? - I would assume ABS over-rides all, and so is always available? - traction control v1: cylinder cut is 'turned off' and so you just have to use your mad throttle control skillz to stop rear wheels spinning? - traction control v2: dsc effectively becomes useless and is turned off? ws ps - and no offence intended, but the only time I have ever heard dash and turbo in the same sentence was also with roger and cordia, so I may be way off track here.
  13. Hey guys Much respect for your attention to detail. I'm interested in the premium bass getting a little boost. But as a newbie on the sound side, I have a few questions. OK, time to begin stupid questions: - Would just doing the rear shelf with Dynamat be worthwhile? - From what I see above, the parcel shelf needs, say, 50% coverage. And most of that's around the sub. Does the dynamat go under the sub as well or just around it? Where do you actually 'attach' the dynamat. Pics would be awesome :D - How much (square metres or whatever) Dynamat would be required to just do the parcel shelf? - What's a rough cost to cover the above so I know I'm not getting ripped off? - Where can I buy this stuff? Thanks for help in advance ws
  14. Basically, I think everyone's concern is that sure, it might catch the most obvious offensive stuff that err, most people here wouldn't be looking at anyways, but: a) the nasty guys are already using methods that will bypass this; same way that kiddies took 15 mins to bypass it at schools. Anyone on the technical side of IT understands how trivial this is to achieve. That's mainly why you see techy's and ISPs against it. Seriously, it's like sticking your thumb in the dyke. Err, maybe that would be banned too. b) the ease with which this could be expanded. Some may say that our political parties are as offensive as the things to be banned mentioned above, of course, I would never say that. c) the way the government are assigning what is 'bad' and cannot be viewed is not transparent or well defined, so, eg, if someone gets a ban placed on fordxr6turbo.com because the post above mentioned some 'bad' things, then it is very uncertain if this entire website would be inaccessable, for how long, or what might need to be done to . Imagine this entire website just disappearing because of that. What a great loss of knowledge to the ford community that would be. Now multiply that times every website.... d) Look, the internet has never and never will be a 'private' place. You should always assume that everything you do is public. Irrespective of Australia's right to 'snoop' on what you do on the internet, that doesn't apply to any other organisation or government. And you do know which websites you go to and where they are hosted, right? And which internet pipes they go over, right? And I wonder what reciprocal rights are in place for the exchange of information between Australia and those governments? OMG - they are here for me now. Somebody help.... <NO CARRIER>
  15. Bahahahhaaa! Track number please? Track WOOF! ws
  16. Now you know why some have the opinion it's a downgrade. ws
  17. I've taken multi-vitamins/multi-minerals for >20 years. It decreased how often I got colds/flu's and also how serious they were. As mentioned above, I viewed them as plugging any gaps in diet. I used to look at all the ingredients of them, and now I CBF. If it says multi-vitamin/mineral, and it's the cheapest, I'll buy it. Cenovis from Woolies is usually cheapest. Some of these can taste a bit funny if they repeat on you. I think of it as a Vitamin B taste which always reminds me a bit of vegemite. You might need to try a few to see what suits you. Those that have the plastic type coating *might* be better if you find the straight ones with no coating hard to handle. And remember to not piss in the pool. But these won't add anything to lose fat, or add muscle or whatever. Look for protein to do that as part of a diet. Optimum 100% protein whey is well regarded. ws Disclaimer: wiresquire is not a doctor and recommends you seek medical advice before doing anything - even breathing.
  18. Happy to hear it's back soon! ws
  19. No, not for an xr6t. They are suitable only for a Ralliart MagEvo. Thanks Erik
  20. I know in Sydney, they're offering free roadside if you get your car serviced at any Ford dealer. Eg, at Brad Garlick. That may be why they're a little, err, hesitant to quote you on the cost of it. Darn though, what the hell is up with Sydney Ford dealers not offering the MyFord factory warranty? Must be making more money off their own dodgy brand. I wonder if they realise how many customers they're losing. If I can't get ford factory, I won't go through them. I can go to *any* bloody dealer or mechanic and get what they're offering for less. ws
  21. Yeah, there's also a difference between a factory warranty and one that is some 3rd party that is offered by a dealer. The 3rd party ones (used to mainly be underwritten by Swann) have a lot of conditions attached to them, eg you can only claim $X on transmission, or $Y on engine for the life of the warranty. A bit like health care limits on dental and optical etc. And it's typically tied so that you must have your service at ONLY that dealer every 6 months. Buyer beware and read all of the conditions! ws
  22. Pfft if they could write a proper OS you wouldn't need it... ws
  23. Well, this sick WRX just pulled up next to me, so I had to put on: Loaded Lim Chung -The Subaru Song
  24. Gee, did any of you guys hold a Win7 launch party? ws
