thanks for your help guys. im actually making my own stripes but I wanted the same width as mk1. im making some chrome stripes & the rear of my stripes will be going into a flame sort of design. will post pics when im done. thanks again, craig

I have finally decided its time to get some stripes on the T so I was wondering if someone who has them on there mk1 would be able to spare a few minutes & measure the width and let me know what size it is so I can get some made up. any help appreciated, cheers craig

the rims are 19 x 8 with a +35 offset. the tyres are 245/35/19, cheers craig

hey mate. at the back the guard pretty much sits level with the top of the tyre and at the front there is a slight gap. I thought it would have gone lower but I am very happy with the end result as I can still negotiate driveways and speed bumps no worries, didnt have to roll guards at all even with a full car and full boot still no scrubbage. however I only have 245 tyres all round. as for price im not sure what the modensa are worth but I think these wheels retail for about $700 a rim plus I paid close to $300 for tyres fittted and balanced. hope that helps, craig

thought I'd share some pics of the beast with my new wheels on. they are 19" Roh Strada 3 piece wheels, also got king springs sl and ssl springs installed as well. makes the car handle and look so much better. now all I have left to do is the exhaust (next few weeks) and edit when warranty is up. anyway enjoy and catch you around sometime. craig

hey guys. I know there ae plenty of topics going round but its all so much to take in. I was going to do the centre muffler replacement but the place I was going to get it done have offered to do a full twin 2.5" mandrel bent system for not much more (very good price). will these be sufficient enough keeping in mind I want to do an edit of some sort in the near future, thanks for your help. craig

well im not on my p's but in my 4 years of driving (im 21)I've owned 2 corollas (ke70, ke55 as daily drivers) a kitted n14 sss na, a kitted n14sss with gtir turbo conversion, and now I own a gtir (trying to sell) and now have an xr6t and a boat. all with no help from anyone. I work my arse off so I can have my hobbies, my motto is work hard, play hard. I know if I hadnt of spent all of miney on cars I could prolly have a lot more but hey, wheres the fun in that, cheers craig

I was just wondering how often you guys wash and polish your beloved T's. I wash, vacuum, black tyres, interior etc mine at least once a week, and coat in carnubara wax once a month, and polish around every 3 months. I always use mequiars. bit of a pointless thread but thought it would be interesting to see what every one does. cheers craig

only took about an hr or so. the hardest part was masking all the little things that stick out and making sure nothing would get painted that wasnt meeant to be. to cover the main part I just dragged an old sheet down between the radiator and the cooler.

I like the look of it so I decided to do mine today. I managed to paint the whole thing from top to bottom on the front by masking everything up super dooper. looks awesome. heres a few pics. cheers craig

my car did the same thing, took it to ford replaced the tensioner pulley and belt for me the next day. never had the problem since. craig

well I had my car back at the dealer the other day and while it was there they commented on it rattling so it is going back in a few weeks to have the whole heat shielding replaced. hopefully this will fix it as it is damn annoying

geez insurnace must be hard down there. im in qld and amonly 21 however no accidents or loss of licence (rating 2), Racq is costing $1150 P.A full comp. and with them your mods are on a points basis so u are only allowed to do so many and certain types but for what I want to do for now it is completely fine. they allow things like exhaust, lowering, wheels, chip and other basics. when I had the sss that was like $2500 thru just cars but there was nearly nothing standard left on it. and I was only 19 at the time. craig

hey all, just got my oil pressure and boost guages hooked up today finally after having them sitting in the car for ages, anyway just a quick qstn, what pressure should it be reading, when its cold it reads about 50 psi and when its warmed up between 25-30 psi on idle, however when I put the foot in a bit the guage spikes up to like 85-90psi, is this normal. also when the sender was being installed we had the inlet feed pipe for the turbo off and inside the bolt was a little tiny filter, why does ford have such a thing like that, I mean it wouldnt take much for it to get clogged up and stop oil from feeding to the turbo, cheers for your help craig. (and my T only seems to be making 4psi on nearly full revs is this normal as well)
