  1. F6 all the way, amazing performance and looks out of the box
  2. Winton isn't happening, engine builder meeting in Geelong has replaced it Rest of the thurs - Sunday events still on as outlined above
  3. That would be cool, join us for the track fun, then come for a drive with us for an hour or 2 days
  4. Are you in WA? I'm flying over for it, so worth it given the joy I've had over 11 years with fpvs, rent a falcon and join the fun
  5. Cool do the Saturday and Friday if u can, will be awesome
  6. As a BA Typhoon and FG F6 owner, (and recent GTF owner), I want to ensure all F6, Typhoon and Tornado owners are invited and aware of the Tribute cruise being planned for Fri 24 Oct - Sun 26 Oct, as well as the FPV Thank You Meeting with Ford, FPV and Prodrive staff being held at FPR next Thursday 23rd 4pm-7pm This was originated in an another forum but we really want F6 owners (and fordxr6turbo forum members) to be a part of both these events. The cruise is actually Saturday - Sunday, Geelong - Warrnambool - Grampians - Melbourne, stopover at Warrnambool. There is an optional Friday portion to the cruise, where we start in the morning at Ford HQ and head to Winton for a FPV track day and then drive in the arvo to Geelong, meeting up with Engine plant workers for drinks and staying overnight in Geelong, meeting the rest of the contingent Sat morning for the start of the weekend cruise. We have designed the 2 or 3 day option as many may not be able to get time off work on Friday BTW I'm flying in from Perth for this (and renting a XR6 for the cruise - still a modern Falcon) so wherever you are in Aus or NZ, if your blood runs FPV Blue, you're most welcome Please register your interest ASAP for this event on this thread (or at the other forum if you prefer) so we have an idea of numbers, Accommodation where we will be staying for those interested in the cruise will be published soon, with more detail on location and start points being communicated in the week to come Cheers Brett
  7. Stop the negativity boys, the gtf 351 will be a great thing Get behind your last gt, plenty others will try and tear it down . It will be the most powerful and fastest ford ever, stop focusing on what you think it should have, wait and see before ripping into what you assume it might have or be I'm selling my beloved f6 for this, because I know ford won't let us down on this Ford always under promise and overdeliver,
  8. Happy Birthday XRHappy!

  9. HI Straughsberry You can add me to the group buy list as well Cheers Brett
  10. Hey Ross Nothing hi-po at the moment (Magna) but previously hes had a variety of performance cars. Hes had a new baby, but changing his mind from a family sedan to a performance one, that's the great thing about a turbo Falcon. It performs a variety of tasks and roles competently
  11. Good fun today guys. Had to turn around at Rockingham due to lunch commitments. It was great to see the evolution of many of the cars and I've managed to convert my friend who came along with me over to needing a T or Typhoon... driving a passenger fast is all well and good, but when you hand them the keys and they get to drive, they realise how big the gap between their present car and a T is, and they just want one... MORE! (excuse the HSV reference) Anyway that was my last cruise (a sentimental one) in the XR6T, as its up for sale. Next time I will be bringing the Typhoon I recently bought. Look forward to whatevers next Brett
  12. Only just logged on (first time in ages) and seen there is a cruise. My mate Daniel and I will be up for the first couple of legs of the cruise. Can we get in on the breakfast as well or is it fully booked up? Cheers Brett
  13. Friend in the WA police traffic division told me there is a directive to gradually replace fleet with xr6t on a rolling basis. We could be seeing a lot more Cops in Ts soon...hopefully they may emphasise with our position if we are slightly exceeding the limit, after all its hard to stay under 50/60 with all that juicy torque under foot
  14. Can't make it now tonight, family commitments have taken priority unfortunately. Have fun on the cruise
  15. I'll be along for the night cruise... watch out for the foglight police Brett
  16. Awesome win to Lowndes Whincup and great drive from the Stone Brothers team for their fighting finish as they crossed the line next to each other. Such as shame Channel 10 didn't replay their last lap afterwards so we could see that battle as well. Sitting on my balcony with my mate overlooking a major city intersection I was very happy to have the Ford flag flying proudly and to see so many guys out with their mates in various XRs, GTs, Pursuits and Typhoons. Everyone with a performance Ford was out cruising afterwards The sporting Gods have been smiling, Eagles last week, Ford this week Woo Hoo
  17. Nang 3 I met the person you're referring to on the WA cruise yesterday, he did choose an XR5, his last car was the orange Z and he has actually edited his XR5 already via a mail order SCT edit tune from the UK. Goes by the name of 1 Short on this forum and a great guy (and his XR5 had no worries keeping up with a lot of super powerful T's & Typhoons). I'll see if he can reply to this thread as he was quoting a kw figure of 190 odd flywheel kw, maybe the same edit product. He probably can't answer a lot of questions Cheers Brett
  18. Great fun on the cruise yesterday and it was good to meet you all. I certainly enjoyed the diverse array of Henry's finest and hope to make it to more events in the near future I reckon York was all the better for having other things on that day, it added to the whole atmosphere Cheers Brett
  19. Hi All I'm up for brekky and the cruise. Couple of you guys (XXXR6T, Markxr6t & Zman)may remember me from some events early last year but have been out of action for a long time due to starting a new business last 12 months. Keen to see you guys again and meet everyone else on this cruise Cheers Brett
  20. hi Guys I'll be in for both. Sign me up! Cheers Brett
  21. Have fun guys. Unfortunately I can't make this one due to family commitments. Damn shame as a trip to the hills is always good on your own, let alone in a huge convoy of Ts Are you guys sure the FPV/tickford email isn't about this event, there's plenty of cross pollination in both clubs/forum members. Not that it matters, its all Ford, its all Good.
  22. Yup I'll most likely be in for this subject to the date. Has anyone been to the Zig Zag recently? Could be a bit of fun cruising down that
  23. Hey Nick Shame you missed the day. I was pretty keen to see what your XR8 pulled on the dyno (I never dyno'd it when I had it). There was another ELII XR8 (burgundy) that arrived later in the day but it didn't get dynod (don't know why), would have been a good comparison. Will catch up with you sometime BTW everyone, I pretty sure that for one off track events/motorkhanas you only need a CAMS level 2 license - ie a piece of paper signed, so providing you've got a helmet, you're out chewing up the track/course. We could organise an event like this if people are keen...heaps of fun too. It would certianly cost a bit more than the dyno day though
  24. Awesome day guys. Thanks to Steve and Dan for organising the day, Zoran for the BBQ skills and Hyperdrive for the great service. Great to meet more and more members of this forum, it was a fairly big turnout in the end. I think a lot of us have some good baseline figures to work from now as well as plenty to aspire to thanks to the high hp runs of the modded T's & phoons today. Top effort all round See you all at the next event...btw what's next...ideas anyone? Brett
  25. I can bring an esky and I'll get some ice as well. Given the numbers we may need another one though. See you all at KP.
