  1. Yeah for sure . You wont have any issues if you ever get pulled over . What boost are you running and how did the cooler cope at that power level?
  2. Awesome result mate , go the factory air box lol.

Looks good mate . I read in another thread that your going with the f6 turbo and e85. You should make some good numbers with that set up while keeping your engine bay looking standard. Im guessing with some drag radials you should be in the 10s for sure.
  5. E85 and a 1.6 60ft you would be in the tens for sure
  6. Thanks mate, 17s do look a bit small on an fg but I was going for maximum traction on the street and strip. The front tyres are nitto invo 245 45 17 and the rear are mickey thompson et street radials 275 40 17.
  7. I know they are really sh*t quality but that's all I have at the moment. I have the proper copys on order.
  8. I found him good to deal with , I knew what size and offset I wanted so it was fairly easy and he had them in stock. He is more familiar with japanese cars so im not sure if he could give you much advice on fitment. Im not sure if he would allow you to test fit them but you could always ask. They're a nice light wheel my 17x9 rears are 7.1kg each . But because of the style of wheel they can look small. He didnt have any hub rings in stock to suit our cars so I just ordered them off ebay.
  9. Spelt it wrong in my orignial post , they are called Autotechnik they are on hoxton park rd Prestons nsw
  10. I found the cheapest place to buy those wheels is at autotechnic in Sydney. Sorry I can't give you any info on fittment as I have an fg xr6 t sedan. I run 17x8.5 +30 on the front and 17x9 +35 on the rear. They cost me $1220.

Yeah post a pic up . I think its worth while mod if your keeping the standard box. Since my re tune I have noticed a slight increase in intake noise but it still sounds good from in the car without being loud . I run the muffler delete as well.
  13. What happened ? Did you lose the race your pickle from your cheeseburger race down the window.?

Lol not sure if you're talking about music or someone reving their car. The bloke next door to me loves reving his car when he has issues with it. Im sure he thinks he is going to rev the problems out of his car.

Yeah they are a good bang for buck car .When I was at the track the other night I got talking to a guy who had an fg f6 and he said his car is running standard injectors a full 4inch exhaust and 19psi through his standard cooler, he said his car didnt feel like it was running right and it was missing towards the top end of the rev range. Funny thing is I guessed who his tuner was without him telling me . I felt sorry for the guy , he was a nice bloke. I think you guys can guess the tuner , they have developed a bit of a nick name .

Mine is more of a letter box style shape and it goes from the front of the air box then tapers up with the box as it goes around the side. I will pop the box out and take a photo this afternoon if you want to see what it looks like?

Yeah im surpised how well it goes for the limited mods it would be interesting to see how it would go with turbo side intake and full exhaust. But I will probably leave that untill I upgrade the turbo.

When joe done the retune I didnt ask him for a print out but from memory I think the e85 tune peaks at 17psi then drops to 12psi towards the top end because the standard tubo runs out of puff. At the track I change at 5000rpm. The 98 tune in my car runs 16psi tapering to 12psi . The car has run on e85 for the past 12000km so its been a while since ive used the 98 tune.

Lol when I said lights I ment the traffic lights on the street. Im not sure how long they will last driving with them on the street but they grip well

Yeah its good useable power on the street. Ive been running et streets a fair bit lately so it gets away from the lights at a good pace.

Thanks mate. Im a bit slack on remembering the finer details but Joe did show me the comparison between the two tunes on his screen and there was a slight inrease in boost( 1-2 psi) and there was an increases in torque. I figure if the car is able to run that time with the air temp at 28°c it would have to go quicker on a 15°c night. Just not sure if we are going to get many cool nights this time of the year. Because the track was average lasts night I was strugling a bit with the 60ft, if I stall the car to 2300rpm it leaves the line nicely with no wheel spin and a 1.7 60ft . If I stalled it to 2400-2500 it would wheel spin with not much forward drive. Im sure it will go quicker with the right conditions. Im still keen on keeping the factory air box and standard cat back exhaust as I prefer to have a quiet car.

    Spiked!

    Who is your tuner?

I took the car back to joe last week and he gave the tune a bit of a touch up. The car made 350 rwkw with the same mods. I went back to the track tonight to try and better my time but it was really hot and the track was sh*t. If I left the line with any more than 2300rpm it would just wheelspin through first and some of second. I only managed to run an 11.2 @ 124mph , air temp was 28 degrees. Im still really happy with the time considering the conditions The previous 11.2 @ 123mph was run on a 17 degree night on a really grippy track.
