  1. Haha honestly 350kw with the standard fg turbo doesnt pull that hard from freeway speeds . Around town the response and mid range punch is awsome but the small turbo runs out of puff in the top end. But yeah as far as being practical for the street without going silly its good power.
  2. Yeah you will notice a big difference but you will probably get used to it quick and want more power. Im thinking 400 -450kw is where the fun really starts especially living around this area with lots of open road
  3. I find the car easier to drive now than when it had 300kw . When I had 300kw if I had wheel spin in second and grabed third the roadspeed was too low so the car would labour. But with the e85 tune the mid range is a lot stronger so if I short shift into third it pulls a lot harder.
  4. I ran the factory dunlops for a while and the car was painting lines in 3rd everywhere on a cool night . But now I run 275 40 17 , the car is heaps quicker on the road but not as fun because I always have traction.
  5. I think a few guys on hear have had them let go with even less power but if you are just running street tyres on the road you should be ok
  6. The track has heaps more grip than the road so if you are running a drag radial on a prepped track wheel spin isnt too much of an issue at our power level. You can take off from idle but it will hurt your time a fair bit .I've been running m/t et streets on the street and love the traction .
  7. Im keen for wsid , I was going to try and get back there after they have had a big meet on the weekend before the wendesday night that way the track will be nice and sticky. Last time I was there the track was sh*t and the car would just spin the tyres if I left the line with anymore than 2300rpm. Have you done much reading up about the standard tailshaft? They're pretty weak, so dont try and stall it up too hard if you go to the track or your car will be going home on a tow truck.
  8. Lol only pic I have is the time slips. But if you want to go for a drive and don't live too far away PM me .
  9. I not very familiar with water injection but if you are looking for more consistent power in the warmer months the stage 2 cooler and e85 should keep you happy. When my car ran an 11.2 at 124mph the air temp was 28°c.
  10. Yeah you should be happy with the stage 2 . I wouldn't worry about the water injection but you could always run it by Joe and see what he thinks.
  11. Im running a process west stage 1 stepped intercooler. Main reason for me going with that option is that it involves no cutting and bolts straight up. But if you have already had to modify things to fit your current cooler then I would go for a bigger one , that way you won't have to upgrade later if you decide to go with a bigger turbo.
  12. Im only running one 044 on a pw surge tank and I dont notice it at all while driving .
  13. Sounds good mate. I've always been happy with the work cms has done on my car. How much boost are you running ? You will love e85 , the power seems to stay more consistent even on a warm day .
  14. Maybe put some upper cylinder lube in the tank I read something about it being good for fuel pumps . But probably wont make much difference lol
  15. Lol joes dyno is pretty honest so you won't have to worry about an inflated dyno figure
  16. Are you doing the wastegate flapper mod seeing as you will be running full exhaust? Are you uprading your intank pump or running a surge tank? If you are keeping the factory airbox you might as well cut a hole out of the lower section of the airbox and run a K&N air filter
  17. Sounds good. Just thought I would let you know that united at ourimbah now sells e85
  18. The valves should come in the box with the wheels
  19. This could be a silly question but when the exhaust was dropped could that cause an increase in boost because of less restriction so naturally you would make more power. Or am I completely wrong ??
  20. If you think there is a chance of getting wheelspin flick it over to perfomance mode before you accelerate that way if it spins just grab the next gear and keep into it.
  21. My car is still running the standard fg xr6 turbo so reving the car over 5000 rpm is a waste of time and the car will go slower . I always shift manually when driving the car hard on the street or track. The few people I have met at the track that havent been happy with the time their car is running have all been leaving it in drive.
  22. Does a zf tune help prevent hitting the rev limiter when in drive??
  23. Or just grab another gear keep on sliding lol. Yeah et streets grip really well I've been running the same set for about 2000km ( a lot of those km have been on the freeway) and about 15 passes at the track and they're on the wear indicators now. You will tear them up a bit if the road surface is sh*t and you stand on it.
  24. Im thinking you will develop an addiction for painting the road.
