  1. Im guessing gosford run involves the old Pacific highway
  2. So the moral of the story is that a but plug would be more useful than a 3inch exhaust.
  3. If the kmh are correct on your dyno sheet that would mean reving the car over 5500rpm could result in a slower time. I guess if shiffting earlier doesnt help than valve springs and e85 should see you run 130+ mph

    Happy Dyno

Would be good to see what time your car would run with et streets, that's good mph for the fg turbo
  5. Apparently they are made in Australia that's why they are more expensive . Seems to do the job my car runs ok numbers at the track so im happy.
  6. I could be wrong but I thought 6250 in 4th would be over 200kmh. Im hitting 124mph (200kmh) in 4th and I don't think im anywhere near those kind of revs.
  7. Im running an advanced headers dump and cat , it does sit lower than standard . It would be possible to modify it so it would sit higher but my car is standard ride height and I don't plan on lowering the car. For me personally I can't see much point in upgrading my cat back exhaust while I still have the standard fg turbo. Im not really interested in making a heap of noise and going slow lol.
  8. Im running a 4inch dump and cat with standard cat back exhaust. From inside the car I don't notice any real difference when driving normal. But if im giving the car hell the exhaust is louder but probably more noticeable from the outside of the car. Put it this way if there is an ve ss with an exhaust next to me accelerating I cannot hear my car at all , well that's until I've walked away from it and I can enjoy my quiet exhaust again.
  9. Standard cat back wont be any louder after a tune under normal driving conditions but will be a little bit louder under WOT Because you will be making more power. If your going to upgrade your exhaust at least go 3.5inch or twin 2.5inch at a minimum . For me I like the volume of the exhaust to match the performance of the car.
  10. Maybe try shifting at 5200rpm 5500rpm looking at your dyno graph it says your making peak power at 194kmh . Even with a 2.1 60 ft you should be in the 11s with that kind of power .
  11. Not sure if they make a twin 2.5 inlet and outlet muffler. They make a twin 3inch centre muffler that would turn your exhaust into a single 2.5 inch exhaust or you could run the 3.5 inch rear varex and just merge your twin 2.5 just before the 3.5 inch varex.
  12. Big sound difference . They do make a 3.5in inlet and outlet one as well , what size exhaust are you running
  13. For me the easiest way is to select first and hold it on the foot brake as well as a little bit of hand brake . Once the revs get to around 2200rpm I let it go . That pretty much guarantees me a 1.7 60ft . That's running 275 40 17 m/t et street radials and an upgraded tailshaft. Leaves the line with minimal fuss makes it kind of boring lol wish I had more power .
  14. Sounds like a good set up. Would the boost referenced flapper affect times at the strip ? Im guessing the flap would open when building boost while on the brake. Is there still a noticeable exhaust note under normal driving conditions and while cruising on the freeway? Im not a big fan of noise its the main reason I still run the standard cat back exhaust. It doesn't seem to be holding my car back too much with the standard fg turbo. But once I upgrade my turbo it will become an issue.
  15. I thought it would be obvious why the fg turbo won't hold boost in the top end when pushed hard
  16. I was thinking if a 20x10 +40 (orange line) with a 305 25 20 fits on a standard car then maybe a 19x11 +40 (green line) with a 305 30 19 might fit with the control blade mod and guard work. Tyre would sit in a similar spot but the 19x11 would spread the tyre more.
  17. Try these out for me and let me know if they fit with the kpm control blade mod lol . 19x11 +40 http://www.koya.com.au/?cars=rw5-%e2%80%93-matt-black-19%e2%80%b3-porsche-fitment

  19. Yeah definitely no boosting , take it to one of the better shops in Sydney and get them to go over the car.
  20. Cold air intake, high flow exhaust running 7psi on standard tune when it should be 4.5-6. When you take your car in to get your actuator looked at ask the shop if your exhaust and intake is suitable to use with the factory tune.
  21. He's probably too busy getting laid to worry about how fast his car is over the quarter
  22. Are you still running standard valve springs?
