Sounds good guys. I am back at work from next Wednesday so once I get back and find out what week we are in I will be able to get back to you guys then. Unfortunatley I only get every second weekend off. So once I know I will be able to let everyone know then.

Hi everyone yeah im keen for a cruise. Would have to agree though that we really dont need to be getting any extra attention from police by going to places like Braddon or Civic. Would preffer to go for a cruise out to Bungendore then maybe on to Braidwood. We could pull into the bakery in Braidwood and get a nice pie and something to drink. Much better roads to go for a cruise on more windy roads a little more fun indeed. Then we could all have a nice cruise back to our homes from there. In any case im keen regardless someone just has to set a date and then I will see if I can make it

Hi just recently I bought myself a 2010 fg xr6t from a Canberra dealer it was built in december 31 as well so has all the good stuff as well. they had origanlly 34k on it a little bit above the N.S.W average price but it is canberra and there wasnt that many for sale at the time I think there was 6 xr6t in total for sale in canberra at the time. Take the advice from the last member who posted but also before you start haggling with the dealer ask them about warranty on the car and how much it is to extend the warranty and also all the other stupid packages they will try and sell you like fabric protection rust protection paint protection ect ect. Once you know how much all these extras may cost you you can start to barter with them a little better. In the end with my car I got them down to 31.5k with a 3 year extended warranty on it as well. So I still have 4 years of warranty on my car as well. I also got them to fill the car up with petrol as well so saved me some more right of the bat as well. Also depending on the dealers structered commision for there sales people they may need to reach quoters in sales so might be better going in towards the end of the month. My poor sales person had to sell a minimum of 20 cars each month just to get paid commision.

Yeah agreed but I have heard some good things about these guys as well. I suppose the plus for me with them is they are like 5 minutes away from me. That spiro from autotech in sydney everyone gives him rave reviews. Once I am ready im going to get some prices from esp, gentech and autotech in Canberra. Should be interesting.

Hi mcinnes Im a southside person but work at fyshwick so might see you around. Thanks for the info on the rego. LOL when I put the foot down when I was test driving the car the mrs almost had a heart attack at the speed and I didnt even give it much lol. I actually know of a person who works at Gen Tech in Mitchell, Nathan is his name he is part of my step sons family funnily enough. Was checking out there prices before seem to be a little exy in price though. I am by no means a car expert and I wont pretend I know as much as the next person about them either, and to be honest I really can't do much to my car anyway being that it is still under warranty and my wife insisted that we get the extended warranty with the car as well. So 4 years to go before I can consider doing any major mods anyway. I am impressed with the performance how it is anyway. I went for a cruze out the back of tharwa the other day with a couple of mates in the car and we did some tests with the car to see how it would perform. I guess what most impressed us all was the fact that we could get from 0 to 100 kmh in a standing start position with 4 adults in the car in just under 6 seconds, damn why do you really need to upgrade. For a stock car well I am assuming that it is stock that's pretty impressive. Over all I am impressed with the car love the look and love the performance overall its a great car. I keep having to find a reason to leave the house so I can take it for another drive lol. Is there any other places in Canberra or Queanbeyan area that anyone could recommend for flash tuning ect ect for my car?

Hi guys and girls im new to the forums the is my second post. Thought that I would post in here considering I live in Canberra. I just picked up my fg xr6t 2010 model build on december 31 2010 lol so almost 2011. Its in the colour nitro not my first choice but my wife loves the colour and it was the compromise I needed to take to get the turbo model I wanted. Im pretty sure the car is stock but damn it goes like a damn rocket love the performance, it puts a smile on my face everytime I squeeze the excelerator. I am thinking about doing some mods to the car but only minor mods. Wondering who you guys recommend around canberra, most likley a basic flash tune and replacement of the cat converter ect ect. Anyway the Name is Daniel and my rego is actually NSW for now have around 8 months before I change it over unless I can get some sort of change over fee or something from the gov shop front for my existing rego on the car. Hi everyone just bought my fg xr6t today and get to pick it up tomorrow. Im so excited and can't wait to pick it up. To be honest I have been a Expensive Daewoo man for years and have owned a vx s Expensive Daewoo for the last few years and it has been a great car never had a problem with it. But after driving the standed fg v6 non turbo and then the Expensive Daewoo sv6 then the fg xr6t I just had to buy the turbo model. Much more fun to drive and wow the performance was amazing. The hardest thing for me living in Canberra was actually finding a decent one for sale. I got lucky and found one at a car yard that hadn't been advertised online yet. IT was a model made in december 2010 and had 47 thousand kms much less km's than any others I found for sale in Canberra at the time. I suppose the funniest thing of all was my wife wanted one in the Nitro colour and I wanted the turbo, in the end we both got our wish lol. Im enjoying all the different threads and posts people are posting learning heaps thanks guys :sungum:
