  1. Well the guy at Forced Performance and Tuning said that 98 octane can make about a 3rwkw difference, so. Lets say, 155rwkw, and a tune of a minimum 10rwkw. that's 165rwkw? Say we only got 5rwkw from the underdrive pulley, that's still 170rwkw? And the tunes increase was way under estimated. I think 170 is defiantly achievable..
  2. BRK - Man, I thought a underdrive would get it to a good solid 158-160 itself? And a tune atleast 170rwkw? Or am I dreaming? Ive seen lots of those figures, even on BA's, not just BF's.
  3. Okay man sweet. Um, dont get me wrong, but E85? Can my car run it with a tune through it? I was planning to tune it anyway, but should I tune it for E85? Also, either on E85, or ULP 98, with my mods and future mods.. -F6 Lower Snorkel -Xr8 Higher Snorkel -Pacemakers 4495 Extractors 2.5" Exhaust System. -Underdrive Pulley. Do you think I'd make 180rwkw? Thanks. Bailey.
  4. How much of a difference would 98 Octane make? I usually run 98, just last week though petrol prices went boom.
  5. Hey guys, I have a 2003 BA XR6, with Pacemaker 4495 Extractors 2.5" back exhaust., and a F6 Lower Snorkel for the intake with K&N Panel Filter. (didnt see the money in the growler) They are the only mods ive done to the car, and I put it on the dyno today to just get a power figure. I was just using 91 petrol as I filled up when the petrol rocked not too long ago. I made 152.8Rwkw (204.7rwhp). Is that normal? Has anyone else seen these figures with those mods? Im looking to put an underdrive pulley on within the next couple of weeks, can anyone tell me if they do much?(if you have experience). And are there any other cheapish mods that I can do to gain more power? Thanks.
  6. I bought it the BA. 20" Advanti Rims on it, 110000k's on it, Custom exhaust. I think the 20" rims are over kill, I know. But it does not look that bad. I agree with you all, I proberbly should have gotten a smaller, more fuel efficient car, and spend money on something more reasonable. But it was what I had my eyes on, and I saved all year to get one, so I guess I got rewarded. Its a lot more fuel efficient then I expected also, they only used it highway driving.. The Average thing was 9.5L/100k so, im pretty happy if it keeps that up.
  7. And I will be towing, ive gotten a job as soon as im 17. Ill be driving back and forth from Adelaide(Outer Harbour) To broken hill..
  8. Haha wow. So sorry, everyone got all angry.. and haha yeah. But anyway, im buying an N/A and for all you saying that I wanted to do skids and whatnot, it was not.. Im going to be driving long distance, and ive heard that the xr6 turbos 5 speed, (if you dont flog em) are the most fuel economical. And that if you have more power there, and you kinda dont use it, itll be more fuel efficient.
  9. Hey guys. Im just wondering about the new F6. When I seen the F6 Typhoon, I thought. Hey, what the hell are they gonna do next to increase power/fuel economy, but keep there title as 'Best performance sedan under 100k'. Well they did that pretty well I think. But now, what are they gonna do? Does anybody know anything? And was there changes to the F6 as the MKII just came out in the FG models? I have crazy thoughts in my head, like twin turbo. Or, a bigger one, just crazy things or even AWD for better launch? Please leave all suggestion/knowledge!!! Would love to see what others think or know about the new model F6.
  10. Well a flash tuner is only 800$. What could I do to it to make it quicker for under 800$$?
  11. Thanks guys. Uh, im just gonna try get this exemption anyway.. Is flash tuning it worth it? In my own logic, it would make sense to mod it, then tune it right?
  12. Sounds good, cause the speed limit for a P Plater is 100km anyway
  13. Okay matey. Well, what about a Plain BA xr6? What mods would be good for money on those things?
  14. It says.. An exemption from the high powered vehicle restrictions may be granted by the Registrar of MotorVehicles. Examples of circumstances where the Registrar may consider granting an exemption include:• To a provisional licence holder who can demonstrate that an exemption is required for employment purposes• To a provisional licence holder who can prove they owned the high powered vehicle prior to 4 September 2010• To a provisional licence holder who can demonstrate that the high powered vehicle is the only vehicle availableto the provisional licence holder Now: Im not sure if all of these pointers come into place. But I am sure, that the first point is me. And I can dam sure make the last point for me aswell.. And, im in renmark, the riverland. They're is no public transport around here mate. :\
  15. Hey mate. I know that, ive checked that already. But im talking about the exemption.. Here is the official exemption for SA. http://www.mylicence.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0009/50994/MR1329_HPV_Exemption_Application.pdf But it simply says nothing on there about 125kw per tonne, or anything. Just simply has 3 circumstances.
  16. Hey everyone. Im almost on my p's and I have 10k to spend. Ive found some pretty good BA xr6t's to buy Im not sure what the laws are in SA about the whole 125kw per tonne. But if that was the case, then the closet I'd get to getting it would be a BA, being 240kw instead of the BF being 270. I know people are going to say 'get a cheap car and save petrol and stuff' Please dont tell me this, as I already have one. I simply am a ford man and have a strong urge to buy a falcon. Now I have looked at the xr6 n/a but there is so much money in moding them for not so much power. Where as if I spend 1-2k more on getting the xr6t that'll be easier. So if anyone has driven one after the 4th of september 2010, on there p's legally, please tell me.
