Well, Hi Torque performance on the goldcoast, want 1350 to tune my n/a.. that includes a flash tuner. (700 without flashtuner) Jamie wants 900 cash with no flash tuner. Paramount Performance wants 1200 no flash tuner, and ive read heaps of people getting tunes for only 500-700 bucks. It just seems like im getting ripped off in toowoomba? And now im considering to go to high torque to get a flash tuner. $900 for no flash tuner or just pay an extra 450?, and I mean.. this is kinda stupid, but I had a thing about it.. what if say my ecu resets or something and I loose my tune? Just feels more safe having a flash tuner, so I always have my tune there incase anything happens. And lol, I dont even know if the tune gets rid of the ecu resets by the way, just seems like flash tuner would be safer.

Hey guys, does anyone know any good dyno tuning places for a BA N/a Xr6 around the gold coast area? I know of Hi-Torque, but there I want somewhere where I can get it done without a flash tuner, as I got told on a N/A I dont really need one. Or do I? But yeah, good tune, but at a nice price? Yeah, well that was from 95 Octane. When I got my car dyno'd.. it was on 91.. lol. Hopefully get a good 156-158rwkw just of 98 alone. :D

Also, just had a little look on wiki about the 'Barra 182' motor, it says.. "More power and torque can be obtained using higher octane fuels, though such figures have never been officially told, close to 199 kW is possible when running Barra182 on RON98 petrol, 402Nm of torque is achievable too" What do you think of that? Obviously every engine is not the same, but an extra 17kw at the motor, so say roughly that at the wheels.. just on 98? Reckon is a load of bulls**t? The guy at Forced Performance tuning said you'd only gain about 2-4rwkw of 98.. Compared to 95 anyway.

Yeah, I guess ill just get it tuned on 98. United is getting bigger, but there is always bound to be a BP around somewhere, or a caltex. And man, toowoomba has like old servo's man, some look dodgy as, I dont even think a second about turning in and filling up, just due to how they look on the outside.. lol. Presensation is everything I guess

Yeah, just gonna get it tuned on 98 octane. In toowoomba, there is alot of crappy survo's.. like they are a locally owned place.. and weather they have 98 or not.. Not going there, ill stay with caltex and BP.

Okay, ive just found out.. that 100 octane is actually 10% ethanol. So where does that leave me now? 98.

Hey guys, sorry I keep making new threads.. Just so much to learn and ask! Next week, I am getting a custom tune at Forced Performance and Tuning in Toowoomba. Now I used to fill up at the BP down the road, and I ran 98 octane 99% of the time.. I have recently moved, and my closet petrol station is a united. They only have ULP91, ULP95 with 10% Ethanol, and 100 Octane fuel. Im not sure what I should run through it, should I keep visiting the BP and putting 98 in her? Or is the 100 Octane fine at United.. Ive always seen BP to just have better quality fuel, and always know its good there. But this 100 octane stuff, could it be just as good? And before I get my tune, heard a couple of rumours that if I change my oil to 5w/30 Syn Castrol edge oil.. That it will give me a little gain(5rwhp), and is 100% better for my car? Just want to make sure my car is ready for the tune, and not going to have to pay another $900 Dollars for a tune. Kind regards. Bailey.

What were you running previous of the Tenth? are we talking like 14.5 to 14.3 or like, a turbo'd vehicle running 12.3 to 12.2?

Im only my P's otherwise I'd have boost for sure! Im doing this obviously for more power, but then when that D%^kHead VN 5L Late model camira comes up next to you, and you smoke him.. 'Ive only got a 6 mate'. It'll be a good feeling, muhahaha.

Yeah, I had already seen it before man. And that's a V8 isnt it? I was looking for I6 gains man, unless that's in HP and that's a cammed and tuned I6.

Besides that dyno graph, does anyone have personal experience with Underdrive pulleys? What sort of gains?

Okay guys, thanks for the help and opinions and stuff, but this is for the motor, will get to lightness later. And Z2TT, man I totally agree with you, but like.. on a N/A I6.. Yeah maybe couple of different results, but 9.5rwkw I dont think is just a 'good day'.. Like I said.. on a N/a 6 anyway. But a turbo'd Vehecle, I'd agree.

And also, because I do not want to make another topic.. The Fibreglass FPV Front and Rear Bumper? Has anybody had any experience with these? If Fibreglass is a no, does anyone know where to buy plastic ones? Cheers.

So guys, im looking at fitting an 20% Underdrive Pulley, I seen that video at CV Performance, and that car made 9.5rwkw? Has anyone else seen these figures? Is it worth the money?

Okay guys, before I do my custom tune.. I wanna make sure everything is done. I only have a N/A XR6 upper snorkel at the moment, is it worth getting the xr6t/xr8 snorkel? Or is the Typhoon Intake enough? Also, have heard some rumours, that if I change my oil.. to 5w/30 Syn oil? Could also make a 5rwhp gain? And Ofcourse, 98 Octane fuel.. If the oil rumour is correct, and 98 gives me a little bit, should send me over 170rwkw?

Im guessing that means yes haha. Going to go 98, hoping for atleast 165rwkw. :D

But. the guy at Forced Performance and Tuning Toowoomba, said that a underdrive pulley will not affect my tune and that it is okay to do it after a tune. Can anybody tell me if this is true or not before I do this?
