  1. Sight problem? its me bloody memory that's cactus! Forgot I got three silver cars in the front yard, my Discovery, daughters Pulsar, and her boyfriends WRX
  2. Is it the high driving position that makes you feel like King? or perhaps the extra ground clearance that takes the worry out of driveways and parking stoppers? or maybe the great throttle response that people talk of? or is it the sleeper looking stationwagon/4wd thing where you get to surprise people at the lights each day? I would be interested to know what makes it a preferable drive
  3. OR it could be that you have'nt put the finish coat of paint on yet!, grey primer is hard to spot
  4. I think that one may be over the budget

  6. Well, its now been confirmed and Post #1 was correct, Jack Daniel's Racing signs Todd Kelly Release Date: 05/12/2007 Jack Daniel’s Racing has signed leading Expensive Daewoo driver Todd Kelly to head its 2008 V8 Supercar campaign. Kelly, 28, joins the Larry Perkins-owned team to drive alongside up and comer Shane Price after a decade with the Clayton-based Expensive Daewoo Young Lions, Kmart Racing and Expensive Daewoo Racing Teams. “A number of things are being considered at HRT which has enabled me to explore all the available options, and after 10 fantastic years I have decided it was time to accept a new challenge,” said Kelly. Since his series debut at Eastern Creek in 1999, Kelly has made 106 starts, recording 18 individual race and 9 championship round wins as well as 16 additional podium finishes, including victories in the 2003 Sandown and 2005 Bathurst enduros. He has finished in the top 10 in driver points in each of his seven fulltime seasons. “You can’t help but grow close relationships with people you work so closely alongside for 10 years so I’m sure I will miss everyone at HRT, but it is time for a change of scenery,” said Kelly. “I couldn’t be more excited; there’s huge potential in Jack Daniel’s Racing and Larry has offered me the opportunity to be more involved with the team and cars – which is what I really enjoy. “The people within the team, and the enthusiasm between it and the sponsors is also exciting. The change has already reignited my passion and given me a new lease on life.” Perkins said Kelly was the perfect fit for Jack Daniel’s Racing. “Todd is a driver who has a rare mix of experience and technical ability and we are very happy to sign him,” Perkins said. “He’s someone who can contribute to the team and its performance both on and off the track, and he’s excited about working with us. I think he’ll fit in perfectly.” Michael McShane, Jack Daniel’s Australia Managing Director said he welcomed Todd Kelly to the team. “We are delighted to have secured a driver of Todd Kelly’s calibre; he fits our image and brand perfectly and will enable us to continue to promote our ‘Pace Yourself. Please Drink Responsibly” responsible consumption message which is the focus of our V8 Supercar sponsorship,” said McShane. “Todd is the new face of Jack Daniel’s Racing and we are looking forward to building the team around Todd and Shane Price and winning the Championship.” Brown Forman Corporation is a diversified producer and marketer of quality beverage products, including Jack Daniel’s, Southern Comfort, Finlandia Vodka, Woodford Reserve, Tuaca and Chambord.
  7. But so much easier to fit my wheelchair in the back
  8. Its good to see a lot of positive comments so far, I did'nt want to mention that I was also interested in looking at the new Mazda CX9 coming out in January (flame suit on), it is a 7 seater much roomier than TT with a Ford Duratec 3.7 V6 engine (same as 2010 Falcon) which develops a reasonable 204kw. Obviously the Terry has a big power advantage, however the Mazerati has sporty looks (very similar to CX7) and comes standard on 20" wheels, also just won USA suv of the year award. Still, I could base my decision on power and bonnet scoop Price will similar
  9. Hi Guys, just want to get a few opinions here!. I currently have too many vehicles lying around, not getting driven near enough, so I thought it was time to tidy up the yard,so to speak. I, dont like using my T for towing the boat anymore for various reasons, stock 4 speed auto at its limit now, plus not enough room for everyone to jump in, plus some boatramps can get greasy etc. So that's why I have a Landrover Discovery V8, 7 seats etc. Then the Mrs has a Mazda 3 SP23 which she will never part with, so we wont go there. Then I have a company Hilux which I use for the other 6 days in the week. Not to mention my Daughters car taking up one garage. So it all adds up to unnecessary rego's and lack of garage space. I'm thinking of doing away with the XR6T and the Discovery and getting a Turbo Territory 7 seater to cover my wants. I find it hard to part with "Barry" cause theres nothing like the feel of power. I just wanted to hear from people who have gone from XR6T to TT, as obviously the extra weight dulls power a bit, and handling cant be as good, so fill me in whether or not it was a good move for you! sorry about the long post
  10. Yeh, old Wilkinshaw does have GREY hair nowdays, nudge nudge, wink wink!
  11. One would think unlikely, when daddy owns the winning team with a vacant seat.
  12. All clear for Lowndes, there was more controversy over the fact Big nose pulled aside to let Tander through and get the points. Todd Kelly deserved a bigger hit than that, cause Lowndes knows he was deliberately holding the two Vodafone cars up, suck eggs you cheatin Holden #@$% Its going to be a interesting start for race 2, I'm hoping Lowndes will go through the middle of those two wankers up front and hold em up so Jamie can drill em
  13. I would have had a bit of trouble getting that one around Mt Nebo on the weekend
