  1. curious; you must be really pi#@ed (only way to express it I feel). You dont make me feal that bad about being on my 3rd box (auto)and believe me my anger is sky high. I know how you feel its things like that make you feel like giving the car back and saying give me one that works. The govt. should bring in a rule about this and make the car coy's more accountable, that is, if a certian amount of problems occur they have to replace the car. Interesting question already posted was how many k's had you done . Hope they get it right for you and your problems stop.
  2. "Jimbo, could you explain your problem? was it flaring at full throttle and which gears? mine only seems to do it from 2nd to third mainly at full throttle, feels like it hits the rev limiter or the traction control is comming on! I hope mine is fixed by this valve body. " OWNAXRT: As with everyone else who has had this problem it appears to happen between 2nd and 3rd gear, as in my case. Yes full throttle it is more evident, but I especially noticed it when the car was cold I.e. first start in the morning, I assume this would be as the revs were higher due the choke being on. So your another on the valve body list ehhh ?? geaa: any news yet .
  3. geea.... I'm not exactly sure as to when the valve body was replaced as I have the receipt at work but I'd say it was about 8 weeks ago. The valve body I got was the new one designed by BTR the producers of the box. I do know someone who had the same problem and he's happy and has no flaring problem, not so in my case. I really hope you do not get the problems I had , but I'll tell ya...you'll know if the problem is fixed fairly soon after you drive it out of the dealers. Good Luck
  4. I had the same problem. Flaring between 2nd and 3rd. Dealer replaced the valve body... did no good. Got a new box put in by the dealer and that packed it in after a month and the car had to get towed to the dealer (very embarrassing as it was at work and I copped heaps about buying a Ford). I am now on my 3rd box after 9000k's. The dealer has been great though in getting it fixed pronto but I'm sure he is sick of seeing me and I am sick of seeing him. This may offend but this is definately my first and last Ford . Jimbo

    Loud Fan Common?

Have to admit it seems loud to me as well. You really notice it when it cuts in.
  6. Yeh.. I have noticed it was wearing slightly... not good. But I suppose its not that much of an issue to me after just having the gearbox replaced and just finding out I have to wait about 4 weeks for a special machine to balance the tail shaft with only 8000 clicks on the clock?????? Not happy ....
  7. I agree with Rob.... pick the car up at 5pm and be told 'the mechanic couldn't find any problem.' They try to make you feel like you are an idiot. I always end up back there and proving the problem is there though. What I have learnt though is never tell them what the problem is but where you think it is(I hope this makes sense). Because if your your not spot on you'll get that comment. Jimbo
  8. Saw a Vixen coloured ute at the motor show and I thought it was Venom. I must be a very bad judge of colour as I own a Venom. I suppose when you put them next to each other the true difference will show. Some mean looking GT's on show. If only Ford can get their marketing as good as Expensive Daewoo at the show I.e. Those bags with posters in it for the kids he he. (I'm a kid at heart !!! ) jimbo

    Not Very Happy

You have just got to put your faith in your Dealer and get it all repaired under warranty. Unfortunately mate it appears you may have got a "Friday Arvo Build". If you read the posts on this site you can see your not alone with problems. I sometimes wish I waited for the series11, the one you get after they have ironed out out the bugs from the first series. Imagine how long the wait would have to be then though ??????
  10. Faygun, Without getting to technical and comparing to a manual, it would feel more like leaving your foot on the throttle when engaging the clutch on a gear change. jimbo
  11. I have an auto BA xr6 N/A and have an intermittent problem with the gear change from 2nd-3rd. It feels as if it is engaging neutral prior to shifting into 3rd. The dealer could not find the fault, but did say I could bring it back and they would go for a drive with me to isolate the problem. Has anyone had this problem or any knowledge as to why it occurs as it is really givin' me the sh#ts. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Jimbo
  12. I cant believe the $30 charge for oil and filter. I just hade my 3000k service and got charged $70, and that was for a N/A XR. He did you a favour there.
