Hey everyone, things are moving along slowly. Mrs is giving me too many other jobs on weekends !!! Lol. Here are some pics of the battery tray I made bit by bit. Fitted it tonight and pretty happy with it. Hopefully I will get the airbox done this weekend Kind regards Jon
-
Yep, kinda bit sad they still use the same oring setup lol. Will see how it all looks this weekend with box over filter and cold air intake. Gota start on fabbing the big cooler up too. Would be soooo much easier if I just bought everything lol. I like to make my own gear though kind regards Jon

No probs at all, looking forward to getting it finished. Been dragging on a bit lol kind regards Jon

Thanks guys yeah if you guys are interested I can jig this unit and make some more? I will have to have a good suss and make a very tight jig as there is fa clearance. I think it will be fine as the engine torques away from the pipe. Unless you like dropping skids in reverse lol. I will try n take some pics of the clearance, its only close to the ps resi hose clamp and then the ps line with pressure sensor. Hope that makes sense. I will fab the box up shortly, I have also worked out a way of feeding cold air into it. Will post some pics as soon as im done kind regards Jon

Hi everyone, progress has been bit slow due to not having enough time in the day. I finished the 4" alloy intake last night which was very tight, I didnt want to run the normal silicon intake. The filter is a massive K&N RU3280. I have the batt tray laser cut and will fold it up this weekend then its off to the powdercoaters. I will start on the airbox n lid this weekend too. Here are some pics kind regards Jon

Hopefully will have my G6E up and running with the GTX 76 in a couple of weeks. Its bolted on, just need to finish intake and do tailshaft kind regards Jon
-
Thanks for the link Rednose, go the 76. I knew or hoped it could do it, awesome stuff Kind regards Jon

Nice one bud, what turbo did u run that time with? kind regards Jon

Hey guys, well I fitted the o ring tonight and bolted the 4" dump on. That damn o ring! lol. Ford has been using that idea for a long time hey! Yeah I was tossing between the 82 and 76 but went the 76 path. I love the quick spool. Making the transition to E85 at same time as all this too. Would really like to see 400rwkw from the little snail on the alcohol. Would be real happy to run a 10.999999et with the 76 before I go the high mount route later down the track. Will push it until I do LOL. Hopefully will finish bolting the exhaust up after work this week and will start fabbing the driver side intake. Going to run an intank 400lph Walbro with modded basket, hopefully should be all good. Will find out if it throws a leg and piston from massive lean out! lamo Will post some more pics later in week once I have done some more. I hope everyone is well . That new cooler will be some work, not much room for something that big. Anyway, will update the build again soon Kind regards Jon

Well I bolted the GTX in place and refilled the coolant. It started dripping out the back of the water pump, the o ring looks a bit old and flat!! LOL. Must of just bumped it enough to cause a slight leak. Will get a new o ring from Ford today and start fitting up the exhaust tonight. Was going to build my own system but got hold of a 4" S/S Xforce for a good price. It would be hard to build one for the same cost. Will post up some more pics soon Kindest regards Jon

Hi Everyone, my apologies for not being online much of late. I have finally started the work on my G6 with today spent measuring the front for the new cooler, its a light weight tube and fin from Europe. Its going to be a tight fit compared with the PWR stepped unit. I removed the OEM 76 and have the GTX 76 ready to bolt on in the morning Hopefully I should have all the work/mods done in a few weeks. Here are some pics from today. I hope everyone is well. Will post more pics as the progress continues Kind regards Jon

Mine doesnt go to bad, obviously warmer ambient temps will have adverse affects on engine performance no matter what cooler. The best cores I have seen and tested are lightweight tube n fin cores from Europe, as used by Porsche, AMG, etc, etc kind regards Jon
-
The later PWR stepped has revised tanks that offer better even charge air distrib through the whole core. The core itself would be capable of flowing well over 400rwkw easy. I might leave mine in to prove this point. The down side to it is the short tube lengths. Personally I rate good tube n fin cores a long way over 1970 tech bar and plate that are heavy and heat soak. My last boosted commo made an easy 400rwkw through a 300mm stacked height pwr cooler with 68mm tubes. kind regards Jon

Lol, better have a chat with my mate at PWR who reckons they dont then!! Lol kind regards Jon
-
Pretty sure PWR kit doesnt fit with upgraded intercooler hey kind regards Jon

I know what u mean about twins being less droney. Will make my own mufflers, reckon it should b pretty good. Kind regards Jon
-
Yeah if I was going twin I would do twin 3. But im a sucka for single systems. Even on my ls1's I used to run single systems. Kinda funny, made some big power through single 3.5 but with external gate n screamer. Kind regards Jon

Hey everyone My apologies for not posting in a while, had some bad ass health probs suddenly happen. Anyway to cut a long story short had a minor stroke and docs found a hole in my heart as the cause, awesome. Only turned 40 in Jan. Oh well So the G6 is off the road finally and work is starting on her again. I have the GTX76 in my possession and have started pulling her to bits. Just waiting on a cooler core to rock in from overseas so I can build a bigger unit and redo the piping in 3". Will have a PWR unit and polished 2.5" piping up for sale if any peeps are interested. Hasn't been on there long. Also trying to track down some stainless 4" mufflers and not having much luck, might also build my own mufflers. Will post pics up as I go, hope everyone is well Kind regards Jon

Sounds like a plan Kind regards Jon
