  1. Lol, I know what you mean Jet, please come and say hello bud. I think I will go the BorgWarner route a bit later? Will see how we go, stupid cars, always need to play with them!! Kind regards Jon
  2. Yep really happy with the little 76. It just needed a bit of a hand to free up intake and cooler charge air. I will ask Simon if he can send me a copy of the boost map. We were looking at it yesterday. Like I was saying we had to bring it on softly as its a bit nasty hitting 22psi fast lol. Yep still on E85. Just had new diff bushes fitted today...........again! Good street combo, just need to find some decent 20" tyres You coming to the street meet Jet? Be good to put some faces to all the names! Kind regards Jon
  3. Definitely love the fast spool of the 76, I knew it had more in it. Didn't think the cooler would do that much!! Very happy. Definitely be at next street meet Ben, looking forward to that 10 Kind regards Jon
  4. We had to dough down the boost delivery early on as it hits so hard with the little snail. We hit 100% duty on WG solenoid at just before 4000rpm. Again cant see much more than 21-22psi with it tapering off as the little snail is out of its sweet spot. If we hit the boost harder down low she would definitely make some more up top but its just turning the tyres on rollers no matter how hard we strap it down and how many people sit in boot. I think that's when the engine gets a bit dicey with boost hitting so hard too. Still I will crank it up that bit more when its time for the built engine and bigger snail just to see where it could have gone. Spewing I didn't data log intake temps but the throttle body pipe was stone cold while the hot side was burny hand hot. Will do some data logging soon and post results. Highly recommend Simon as my tuner, very talented with a fine attention to detail I have yet to see from any other tuner I have ever used in SA. As for getting power down, it doesn't. Anyone running 20" Nittos, thoughts? Kind regards Jon
  5. Hey Guys Well the G6 finally hit the rollers today, OMG did that new cooler make a big difference. I also fitted a 12psi wastegate can but the little 76 still has some probs keeping boost up there still. Well it made nearly another 100nm of torque and power rose to 446rwkw while still being quite conservative. Will bag that 10sec ET easy as now. I feel we could have pushed it a bit more with a leaner afr and bit more boost in early and easily got over 450, but hey Im very happy with the result from the little snail! Here's the dyno sheet, cant wait for street meet in couple weeks Kind regards Jon
  6. A bit later will be pulling the 76 off and going the borgwarner route. Just want that 10 with the 76 lol. Great turbo for street but im not driving the G6 daily anymore. Kinda ruined the ride quality with sssl springs, 20's and tailshaft lol. All good fun though Kind regards Jon
  7. Yep def getting Simon to tune it. Might see you up there next week bro. I gotta build a cooler for his Navara so will be picking that up and leaving the G6 for him to play with. Dont think there will be much more in the 76 but will give it a go b4 I go to the Borgwarner. Gota catch up man!!! Yep AIR is cancelled, oh well gives me bit more time. Be good to see you out there Ben, you gona have a run Jarrard? Kind regards Jon
  8. Cheers bud, that's what I heard about AIR this weekend. Will make some enquiries tomoz.... Cheers on the welding, been doing it for 25+ years lol. Gota love getting old Kind regards Jon
  9. Hey everyone. Ok so coolers all done, really happy with overall fit-up. Looks good behind grill without being in your face. So now its changing to a 12psi WG can, and the cat then its off to have afrs tweaked. Here's a few more pics. The cooler is soooooooo light which is an awesome thing. Its sooo much lighter than the PWR stepped tube n fin its replacing. Should be a very very efficient unit. I think the street meet has been cancelled this weekend so all good. Will try for that 10 next time. Will keep you guys posted on what we can get out of the lil 76 on the rollers next week Kind regards Jon
  10. Thanku for all the nice comments guys Im leaving it polished, thought of black paint but think it will look good behind the g6 grille. Hoping to make it to AIR drags this weekend but dont think im gona make it. Gota get waste gate, cat n retune done before. See how we go. Will post some more pics in next day or so Kindest regards Jon
  11. Hey Guys The cooler is finished and bolted in. Wow what a tight fit!!! Bit harder with tube n fin as the header plate/ tanks are1 1 inch wider than the 4 inch core. This makes it rather hard as the front intrusion bar tapers back in on edges making it even tighter. The radiator had to be spaced back 35mm with some customizing of lower supports. Overall I'm pretty happy with the fit-up. I finished new hot side piping today in 2.5" and will fab the 3" cold side tomorrow. It was shocking weather to push car outside n take some pics but here's a couple showing the new setup. Will post more in next few days. Speak soon kindest regards Jon
  12. Yep front tyres last about as long as the rears!!!! Cant seem to find anyone who can fix the scrubbing inside? About to get a new set Kindest regards Jon
  13. Here's some pics of header pipes I just built for a TRD trophie truck if anyone's interested. 321 SS 30thou wall 3 step tuned tri-y. Something a bit different. Attached a pic showing the purged weld too... Kindest regards Jon
  14. Hey Guys I hope everyone has been well. Sorry for the delay in getting the rest of the G6 done. Ok so I finally got a chance to get her into the workshop and start on the new cooler. The core is a lightweight Euro tube n fin, its massive!! The core is has 490 tube length and will end up being 5" or 125mm thick with tanks. It has been a very tight squeeze to get it in to where it sits at moment. I will start folding the sheet tanks tomorrow, I did stay back for a bit tonight and tried a few temps out made from card. Anyway here's a few pics of where it sits at present. I will post more as the build goes along, then its of to the dyno again next week Kindest regards Jon
  15. Hey Lee, yeah not working at there anymore. Got my little workshop sorted. Been waiting to get my Fg in for bigger cooler but been busy with other work. The Ba is killa, mrs still over moon with it. Was going to drop an Fg motor in but mrs is happy with performance. Will just do some basic upgrades, the intercooler core for that should be here soon. Will upload some pics of some trick work been doing soon, hopefully I can get a start on the fg soon. Hope all is well with you bud. You got that fg yet? Kindest regards Jon
  16. Cheers bud, I thought they had a lifetime warranty too. Will give em a buzz tomorrow. Its def torn, not good lol
  17. Hey everyone, I hope you are all well. Getting my life back on track, hopefully I will have my G6 in at work in the next couple of weeks to build the new cooler. I started my own business doing automotive fab work so the cooler should be a good thing. Just a quick one I had some Superpro comfort diff bushes put in less than 2000km ago. The main rear one has torn itself to bits. Anyone reccomend anything that can hold out? This one was worse than a factory bush? Kindest regards Jon
  18. I love my Gtx 35/76!! It made 350 odd on 98 and just over 400 on e85. Just running e85 walbro and modded internal oem swirl pot. I reckon should be able to see a little bit more from it. Had probs with holding boost as only running 8psi can. Its on boost sooooo much faster than my mrs car with 35/82. Good street snail for the G6 I reckon Kind regards Jon
  19. Thanku so much everyone. It has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through. No warning or anything, here one day gone the next. He was only 19 :( Hopefully I will get the time to finish the G6 soon. Really want that 10 with the 76. Will get there, motivation is just lacking a bit atm. Again thanku all, really means alot to me. Kindest regards Jon
  20. Thanks guys, means alot to me
  21. Hey everyone Havent posted for a while, sorry, had a tragedy in the family. My eldest son took his life, over a girl too :( In regards to the G6 I have fitted the true track and some Kings SSL and SSSL springs. Was hoping to get the cooler and everything done at once but been bit busy with other matters. Hope everyone is doing ok. True track is awesome!!! Also fitted some Super Pro diff bushes. OEM Ford units didn't last very long lol I will get that damn cooler built for it soon along with the 12psi can, sorry everyone. Thought it was going to be a good year :( here are some pics
  22. Tube n Fin all the way!!!!!! ROFLMAO!!!
  23. Lol, goodjob guys Kind regards Jon
  24. Lol, everyone seems to be getting testy. Hey as long as your happy with whats on your car then that's all that matters. Everyone has different opinions, if we were all the same, life would be pretty boring. Im more than happy with my core choices over the years as im sure everyone else is with theirs Kind regards Jon
  25. We have tested on road conditions, off road conditions, high traffic, high loads on road as well as dyno. Front mounted systems, topmounted systems, fan forced topmounted systems etc etc. Still yet to see a bar n plate have a better outcome. Also did fair bit of RnD with PWR with their new wind tunnel used for F1. They can run varible boost and varible intake charge and ambient temps. Quite a massive techy piece of equipment. Think it was concieved for RedBulls F1 intercooler requirements for the new Turbocharger regs of F1. Btw, PWR sell a good intercooler temp gauge for monitering before and after cooler temps. Made by Davtronics in USA. A very handy tool for above analysis Kind regards Jon
