  1. just stepped out of a ser 1 ve ss ute,interior wise night and day,my fg absolutely sh*ts on the ve. my ute had a tune,otr, and 3' pipes and put down 255kw at the tyres, un opened engine,auto. that's the norm for that combo,if you cam it,springs,lifters,rods, maybe timing gear,labour to fit and tune 3-4g spent easily.if you play with an afm engine,l76,l77. add another 2g for the afm rubbish to be swapped out. LS engines are good and have their bad points as well- sh*tty gm lifters particularly the afm lifters with reports of these afm jobbies spinning in the seats and chewing cam lobes on some now high km cars becoming more common. but they are an easy engine to get power out of. 5 LS powered cars ive owned is a testament to that..but... now im (finally) driving around what used to be my enemy on the road I can honestly say that the mod potential of these turbos for relatively little dollars compared to getting an LS engine to boogie is awsome. at the end of the day its what you are comfortable with PS... pm me if you buy an ss as I have sh*tloads of new and near new parts for it if you want.

I paid 36k d/away,new xr6t LE sedan straight off the truck.auto with a few extra bells and whistles chucked in, I put 3 dealers up against each other,played a bit of phone ping pong,turned up un announced at the yard the car was at,told them I want this and this and one of those chucked in for that price, they grimaced a bit,I dont care im not there to be friends, if they want my business.... anyway I got what I wanted in the end. look for a yard that has a few of what you want, that can work for you as well
  3. im in the same boat as you spinning and was told the same by my dealer as well.reckons prematurely changing the "running in oil" may affect the bores as in glazing etc.. crap I reckon but just the same id like to know as well

    hi all,thought I'd join up, another Expensive Daewoo convert here lol, been belting around in mostly modified ss commys and utes for the last 10 years. just took delivery of a mk2 LE xr6 turbo sedan,kinetic in colour,auto (drove both man and auto and oddly found the auto to be a better drive,is this a common asumption?) anyway love it in spades,more comfy interior,dash lay out is good ,the touch screen is much easier to use than holdens seemingly clueless iq system,I hope its not as problematic as the iq set up? I eventually will start to weaponize it but just now im enjoying the peace and quiet but I know that will change lol
