Dont need to,the fan makes a racket when it comes on.ive got the same set up,mines mounted under the front passenger side seat bolted with brackets to the chassis rail. Edit .. just noticed where you have mounted yours so maybe you might want to. I put mine in that spot as its next to the box, shorter hoses and in the breeze.
-
that's because kia/ hyundai poached euro designers from bmw, audi etc... the koreans cant and never have been able to design a decent looking car to save themselves.
-
Yeah your both right,no more mirabeau according to their web site, might give mitch a ring though and see what he's got,my next choice are bathursts but they seem a bit plain on the front without a concave finish.
-
Whats the offset of them there mirabeau's mate,I have tsw tremblants 20x8.5 & 20x10, looking for a change and dont mind these

Whats the legality if you remove the spoiler and have no centre brakelight?
-
I had a djr briefly on my fg,changed my mind and put original back on,just didnt do it for me.piss easy to mount though, the hardest bit was threading the brake light wire down the guts of the spoiler thru a little hole on the underside.make sure to put felt under it or it will rub on the paintwork.it bolts up to the existing bolt holes, covers them completely.lines up perfectly too at least mine did. The only real drama I had was getting it painted by 3 different painters because they couldn't match the bastard paint

Bugger that driving around in gimp mode until you tune it. Put it all in your spare room, horde everything until you can do it all at once.

What about oil age? Mines about 14mths old,but ive only done about 5000km.should be ok? Has the factory fill in it,magna crap. I change it at 7500k intervals so it might be a few mths more yet.I take it for a drive most weeks, mostly a run up the highway and back and some stop, start in traffic.couple of long drives a year. Arronm,im guessing pic no1?

Mr hampster? Looks more like an obese gerbil to me

My bad, which part? Edit: just noticed what I typed wrong sorry about that
-
Yes,you only need the top half though but very few will sell just those bits. Fg 1yes ,no xr8 fg2,fgx not sure, different rad support. If you are just after more air then do what ive done with the holesaw mod, easy and effective along with a kn filter if you wish
-
Which is exactly what ive done. 4" holesaw does the trick nicely and that's with 311kw atw.im of the opinion that aftermarket intakes (original location) make the engine bay look pretty and empty your pocket of a few hundred bucks and that's about it.turbo side would be my only intake mod if I wanted more direct air

OEM replacement piping with pw or plaz stage 2

Why dont you just ring pingtune and ask them? They sell both brands from memory. -
Put glad wrap on your front end then trim it away around the grille, then put bra on.it sweats a little underneath but doesnt hurt anything, ive driven in torrential rain with it on and it stays dry underneath, but I take it off when I get home, not good to leave them on wet especially if out in the sun. The proper aussie car bra's are a tight fit which is what you want, the underfelt on them is good but I use the glad wrap for extra protection

My fg mk2 turbo has started doing this as well, on cold starts it cranks fine then the idle hunts up and down until it decides to settle.mine spends most of its time in the shed these days which is why I thought it was doing this.I drove it yesterday, it done it then after sitting for a week. Just went a fired it up now and it briefly did it.could deteriorating fuel be a cause as well? I use bp 98 in it,nothing else.im driving it more frequently at the moment to burn the fuel it has in it so I can fill it with fresh fuel and put some stabil fuel stabilizer in.I also thought the throttle body might need a clean,40thou kms, completely std driveline.could ford sort the software issue mentioned above or is it an aftermarket tune that will sort it as I plan to go down that path now its out of wty
-
bit plain jane to me.dont mind the front end in certain colours but that looks boring as bat sh*t.
-
If its smearing when you use a blade then a claybar mightn't work straight up as whatever it is its not setting hard. Try to disolve it first. Go to bunnings look for a glue remover called funnily enough " disolve it" or another one called " omphh". Excellent stuff for getting sh*t like that off,I used it to clean rego sticker residue off effortlessly. So it should work for you.
-
I can see the dealerships rubbing their hands together already, " excellent! Another special build we can price gouge the sh*t out of." Just like they have with the xr8s that now since all the sh*t and glitter has died down are sitting unsold in their yards, I know of 4 xr8s in my area that have been sitting for mths because of the stupid money being asked. I fear they'll do the same with these too.

The oem battery in yours (that's of course if its a ford battery) is only 430 or 440 cca, cant excactly remember which one but it will be either. Seriously too small for our cars, I suspect a $$$ thing, turf it and go bigger.it was the first thing I did, mine was brand new and flashed the low volt warning, went to a 600 cca, no probs since, that was 2 and a half yrs ago

Those With White Mk2's And Rust
damo6 replied to DanielBeckett1's topic in Interior & Exterior Workshop
It maybe a cost cut measure but my engine bay is spotless,I've pulled everything out of the engine bay that can be removed and gone over it with some of my led detail lights ( though metal halide lights are the best, even concourse paint will show faults under them, been a detailer for yrs) and found nothing.don't quite know what they've mixed with the black but it's definitely not just a base coat and it seems to be doing the job. I've used that wax spray on other cars and it's good stuff. -

Don't let us put you off mate, they're not that bad,Ford has a 5 yr corrosion wty.the underbody areas are an easy fix. Engine bays it's noticeable around the bonnet hinge areas and parts of the under bonnet.but I've seen some ba/bf's that are a lot worse.they rust down where the chassis rails meet the firewall ( from what I've seen anyway) and the bootlid hinge area is bad as well. Fg's don't suffer these problems. If it's any comfort VE commys have some bad areas as well. Just buy one mate you'll bloody love it. -
Those With White Mk2's And Rust
damo6 replied to DanielBeckett1's topic in Interior & Exterior Workshop
I have a 2012 mk2,mines blue obviously but my engine bay and under bonnet are painted with a black chemical type paint.what I mean is there is a coarse type substance mixed with it. No rust anywhere in the engine bay but there is surface rust on some parts of the underbody. But for some reason most likely dollars Ford discontinued it on later builds. -
