  1. the rings were shagged, getting blow by coming out of the dipstick and oil covering the engine, valve springs gone lol. had heaps of metal shavings in the sump when we changed it too. was cheaper to get an fg engine than to get it fixed.
  2. cheers man. I have just done the conversion to my BA. The motor S*** itself. The few things described in the conversion were of major help.

  7. Hey guys sorry to jump in on ya's... Anyone here selling an engine? I need something to chuck in my car whilst I rebuild mine. I don't have a spare vehicle to use. Doesn't have to be fancy or anything. after something fairly cheap, Just to get me around for a while. I have searched the net and found some wrecking but thought I would also put it out there to you guys. Inbox me if ya do. Cheers
  8. Ok the problem is fixed... strangely enough it was to do with the throttle body. I took it off and gave it full clean, noticed that the bolts were a little on the loose side, also cleaned the plugs with WD40 then blew them out with the air compressor. took off the TPS and also cleaned in there. put her all back together and made sure all the bolts and connections were done up properly and now she boosts right through all gears. such an easy fix that didn't cost a thing and only took about an hour of my time.

  11. Just to clarify the car will go past 4000 rpm while easing it there but not while under full load.

  13. Got it about a month and a half ago. It was fine 2 days ago then BAM... this is happening. haven't changed a thing.
  14. revs in neutral fine, just while driving. all gears too

  16. Hey guys, Quick question which has probably been answered but couldn't find it on here.. I have a BA MKII 2005 XR6T and my car will not boost past 4000 rpm. it is all fine up until the 4000 mark then it just dies. If I keep my foot down it just stays at the 4000 mark and wont go higher. Boost still reaches 14psi before cutting out. Any info would be appreciated. Heath

I had a quick search and by the sounds of it most of the good tuners are down south...
