  1. Just got back from Xtreme. Simon was busy so I spoke to Shaun. Anyway,I have been quoted 6500 for race air box, battery relocate, valve springs, surge with twin fuel pumps and GTX3582. Shaun went and asked Simon how much for the Precision. He said 3000 on top but its not the 6235 its one they use not sure which one but its a lot of work to get it on. He said they do another one which is easier. I said is it the 6235.....hes not sure but he will call me tomorrow. I expected more but $6500 before now $9500. Doesnt seem right. I hope he gets back to me and says the 6235 is cheaper than that. Going by what people are saying the GTX3576 might be the better choice. So the GTX3576 is better than the standard FG F6 turbo. I like the quick spool but want a bit more up top.
  2. I was only ever chasing about 370-380rwkw with a bit more top end as mine at 325rwkw is really responsive but doest have the balls higher up in the rev range. After seeing what a GTX3582 and the Pte 6235 can do and talking to the guys im going to see Simon tomorrow and will be steering towards the 6235. Thanks heaps to all the people for their input. Muchly appreciated.
  3. Thanks for the info guys. I might talk to Simon about the reliability of the Precision. The guy I spoke to at the driving centre said lag is not an issue on his xr6 Precision. Comes on at around 2600 compared to 3300 on the GTX. Looks like that might be the go if they are reliable compared to earlier Precisions.
  4. I thought about the Precision. Ive heard lag is not bad and more top end. I also heard before and also from a guy at RAC driving centre where I am now that reliability is an issue with the ceramic ball bearings. Simon at Xtreme likes them.
  5. Hi guys. I have a G6Et with 325rwkw. It has full Nizpro exhaust,Nizpro cooler,id1000 injectors,12p actuator etc etc. In 2 weeks its going to Xtreme Ford Tuning (Perth) to get battery relocation kit, race air box, valve springs and GTX3582. Its purely a road car. It wont see a drag strip and im more about how it drives and not about being a dyno queen. I have beard that the GTX3576 is still responsive and still pulls hard. Just spoke to a guy at a track day with the 3582 and he said it really it pretty laggy and recommended the 76. I have only a short time to go one way or the other. Please could anyone with some experience on this help. I dont want to make the wrong choice. Thanks.
  6. the last post didnt have all the crap so im just seeing if its fixed itself
  7. I have tried on my iMac and my new MacBook Pro with Safari and with Google Chrome. Apple said its strange that its doing it from 2 devices and that I should contact the admin of this site, which I've done. I have wanted to post a pic of my dyno after the new mods which I will do when this is sorted. So before I had the tune and 1000 ID injectors. Now I have Nizpro 4" stainless exhaust with twin hi flow cats with dump, actuator,Nizpro intercooler and the turbo was ported. It made 324.9 rwks and 805nm at 3850rpm. It now sounds awesome and the new power is pretty impressive.

If yes,I dont know but I dont have a clue why or how to stop it. I have had to go in after posting a comment and edit it and "cut" the crap out.
  15. I shopped around and went with the Kuhmo KU22,they are still like new as I only drive the car on weekends but it still breaks traction when it hits second gear. As standard they do that flutter thing between gear changes, maybe the tuner can make it so its not so aggressive or just backs off a little as it changes,I dont know, the turbo stuff is still new to me but im learning. 16. Now that you mention it he did say something about porting the turbo and I just checked an email from when I was calling some tuners and it says something about porting the turbo bypass. 17. Hi guys. I am reasonably new to the whole turbo thing and also a Ford fan after a lifetime of being a Expensive Daewoo fan (V8's) so its great to read some of the threads to get some ideas. I now tell my Expensive Daewoo loving mates im not going to argue with you, just go and drive a late model XR6T or G6Et,lol. Anyway,I bought a G6Et late last year and had it tuned plus ID1000 injectors. It made 271kws. Tomorrow its going in for the Nizpro cooler,Nizpro stainless exhaust (4 inch)with dual cats, dump and actuator. Firstly, what sort of power do you guys (and gals) think I might achieve without going too silly, this car will never see a drag strip or race track. I have read some things about 4" exhausts droning but my tuner has said it will be fine so if anyone has this system it would be great to hear from you, thanks. Also, with traction being a bit of an issue now its only going to make it worse although im not a hoon I do like to punch it now and then. I have owned some high powered S/C V8's and have never done burnouts on public roads but I would like more traction to go along with the increased power. I have 18' in wheels, what is the widest tyres I could put on those legally. Any input would be awesome, Thanks again.

  19. That is at Extreme Ford Tuning in Perth,Simon. Do you think I need the cat and actuator.
  20. I agree mate. This is where people are posting what times they are doing down the quarter and that's the people you want advice from to help you out. Good luck!
  21. $2300 for Nizpro cooler(piping as well I think) plus $600 for the retune and apparently an actuator is about $300,was told I need one of those too.
  22. My 2009 G6Et with 20,000kms on it made 271rwkw after a tune and ID injectors at Extreme Ford Tuning. Got told a Nizpro intercooler will take that up to around 300 beause they can up the boost(12psi now)plus an actuator, anyone got any thoughts as to whether it is worth spending another $3000,its sort of a daily driver,I use a different car to drive to work. Thanks guys.
  23. Hi guys. I bought a 2009 G6Et with only 18000kms on it. Always been a V8Holden fan (for along while,im 45) drove the G6Et and had to have it. Got it tuned by a well known tuner in WA using HP soft ware and 60lb Siemens injectors. Ive had some issues that I wont go into as I just wanted to know what injectors most of you guys use and what the better software is,im thinking SCT after talking to some people. Already spent $2500 on injectors and a tune,4 weeks later im spending another $2500 tomorrow to get the ID injectors and SCT software. Any input would be greatly appreciated,THANKYOU in advance.
