  3. This thing is gonna haul mate...keep us posted on how you get on with things.
  4. ^400lph Pump Bucket
  5. naked's are awesome, sports bike performance with a comfy riding position
  6. the pictures don't do it justice.
  7. Getting the beast ready for a 2000km round, doing the snowy ride followed by the Victorian alps. Leaving on Friday morning for Jindabyne, onto Beachworth on Sunday....then Monday onto Bright, Mount Beauty, Mount Hothom, Omeo and up to Delegate. Than back home on Tuesday through Braidwood, Neriga, Kangaroo Valley and back down Mac Pass to home. Love the figures on this bike 1295cc V-Twin180 HP144 Nm189 Kg
  8. Original coils started breaking up under load a few days after the tune. From what I've been told this is pretty common when they are subjected to more load / boost, Replaced with a set of genuine coils and re-gapped the plugs while I was at it.
  9. ^lol....dammit, I got word filtered.
  10. ^^ Problem fixed bam. I got lazy and didn't update the thread. I received the coils the next day after ordering. I couldn't recommended that company enough, they were great to deal with and by far the cheapest place for genuine coils. Norton Motor Group on ebay. Thanks for putting me onto them. I'm back to enjoying full boost now. I have to say it only took a few days of driving for me to get use to the power and get over the....''powwwaaaahhhh!!!!''.... stage. It started to feel not that impressive any more......than I was bored last Friday night at about 8pm so I decided to go for a lap to Kiama and back through Jamberoo, it was cold that night, about 10 deg.....and holy chit balls, its a different animal on a cold night......... Back to being very impressed again......So I'm thinking I'll just be behaving myself (within reason) during the day and wait till the evenings for a "SMASH MY DATE" run.
  11. ^ yeah mate, that poor little bike must of been maxed out all weekend.
  12. ^ I'm running the standard intank and a process west surge & 044. The high pressure is due to a restriction in the return line. One fix is to drill out the restriction in the swirl pot like I did, the other less effective fix is to replace the return line between the rail and surge tank + a larger fitting in the surge tank.
  13. Good luck buddy, from what I hear its a massive job but anything is possible if you have the time. Lots of good info in this thread. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88728-the-crazy-taxi-fg-f6-tr6060-powered-ba-futura/
  14. you mean this secret place...... And I guess this is where your turned around Angel.....hmm...looks like a g6e single spinner to me. I was hoping to take a photo of my car in the same spot but the water was too high to walk in...it was about 125mm deep across the causeway. Well done on the car mate. Must be nice to drive now with the extra go. How much boost did you settle on? Should go for a cruise later on today or tomorrow arvo if your keen. I'm keen to see how this g6e goes.
  15. Sounds like you're on the same ride as another chap that I know. Big guy called Scary that rides a 1300 Huyabusa. I did the run down to the snowy ride last year with him and he often comes on our weekly Sunday morning run that we do. Sounds like a good run mate. Enjoy.....I'll be down there in 2 weeks time for the snowy ride.
  16. ^^ mate, I often get better results when I use Google and just put "fordxr6turbo" all one word in there with what ever you searching for.
  17. ....that was pretty funny. He looked & acted just like a typical Expensive Daewoo fan....
  18. No. These utes run a 'leaf spring' rear end. Depending on how low you want to go you have a few options add lowering block (not ideal)get your standard leaf springs reset (generally a cheaper alternative to replacing)replace your standard leaf springs with an aftermarket set (king springs or pedders)Best off talking to a suspension specialist to work out which way to go depending on what you want out of it. Talk to Pat (senna_T ) at wholesale suspension, he's a great guy to deal with. 1/24 Lidco St, Arndell Park NSW 2148 (02) 9831 8825
  19. ^^ Thanks mate, I thought I'd wait until today and just go up to the ford stealership up the road from home....Turns out that ford wants $53 each trade.....so I got some genuine ones from Norton Motor Group on ebay like your recommended. $210 + free shipping for a genuine set of 6. I mentioned the car was off the road while waiting for coils and he got back to me 30 mins later and said "no worries mate, I processed your order and I'll make sure they get shipped today with express post"
  20. Not sure what you mean. That bike is a 2012 S1000RR. Its not a HP4
  21. Sounds like you really did have a rough trot. That's a shame because they're not all duds. I myself have not had to deal with service centers or after sale service. I'm guessing this was part of your troubles.
  22. Ouch...I don't like hearing these stories. Best of luck mate and keep us posted with how it goes. I'd pull the radiator out either way mate, give you some more room to work and avoid the possibility of bumping it with the motor and damaging it.
  23. Reliable, powerfull, comfy, handels great (now)...and the ability to put my bike and all my gear in the back and cruise down to wakefield park with ease. I love my ute, I'm planning to hang onto this one. As specially now they're a dieing breed.
  24. Thanks Joe, I thought that may be the case. Car is going great other wise. Very happy mate.
  25. I will Matty. It feels like an electrical misfire, like a coil breaking up under load, but I really haven't looked into yet.
