  1. ^^overdose
  2. wow....its really sad to see how some people treat there cars. Looks like you're putting in a great effort to get it back to good condition and I'm sure you'll make a nice little profit if you decide to sell it.
  3. I'm a maybe for the christmas meet......Need to play it by ear for the moment. If I do end up going we'll meet somewhere down here and cruise up together. Nice battery set up gunna
  4. My mistake, when I did this it was on a set of pedders leaf springs and it was possible to swap from bottom to top. I wasn't clinking thearly.
  5. You can actually take the two 10mm plates from the bottom of the spring pack and put them on the top. This has the same effect as adding 20mm lowering blocks
  6. Not till next friday but just getting the ute sorted to carry two bikes + track gear instead of one. Will do a thread of what I end up with. Should be a nice set up when finished.
  7. ^^ yes I haven''t seen it myself but I've been told about it by quite a few people now.
  8. Locked & Loaded
  9. I saw a completely unmarked, stock looking blue Subaru Forester the other day in Shellharbour, he had someone pulled over with lights going in the windows. Somebody else I know saw the same car pull someone over at the bottom of Mac Pass.
  10. Where are you disconnecting the return from when testing it into the bucket
  11. ^^ this bloke..!!!
  12. Thanks chaps....good info here.
  13. In the mean time I think I'll just put a garden house down my intake and steam clean my engine......faaaarrkk me.
  14. Soooooo.....clutch's? Yep I'm gonna have to start saving up for a replacement clutch kit. I've had the standard clutch slip on me twice since the power upgrade, conditions were the same both times, 4th gear pulls, up an incline from low rpm with clutch slipping when hitting full boost. It hasn't slipped on the flat yet, and still grabs hard in 1st 2nd & 3rd up hills. It must be a sign of things to come. I must say I'm not surprised with nearly 1000nm at the treads. I guess its better than having it sh*t itself all of a sudden, at least this way I can start putting some money aside now and be ready for a new kit when it becomes a problem. I'll have to go back and read through the huge clutch recommendation threads again.....
  15. Reading with great interest, Apart from all the dick talk..... I'm liking this water/meth injection idea for lower and much more consistent IAT....My car really suffers on a warm day. The difference between 15° night and 25° day is massive. Something similar to this kit would fit nicely where the stock air box use to be...... Everything is right there......manifold pressure is right there on the bov vac line, nozzle can be mounted into the pw pipe before the throttle body with the tank and pump mounted right bellow it on a bracket.....
  16. Sounds pretty normal. Most cars temperature's will rise when they're switched off, not just turbo cars. More so with our climate.
  17. I did some carbon vinyl wrapping on the headlight pieces and also the ignition shroud on the tank......... cause I'm a tight ass jew. Looks close to the KTM carbon front guard though. Should be down a few kg's with the new carbon.......
  18. Carport's looking pretty good these days
  19. That's pretty cool, ive seen the molded plugs but I didn't know you could get audio ones. At the moment I use the push in ear buds but the green ones, I find the red ones block out too much noise, like you said I only use them to block out the wind noise. I think a bit of googling is in order.
  20. I hear what you're saying mate. I decided about 1 year ago that I would just hang onto my ute for as long as I can. It was my first real performance car, it does everything I need, it goes quite well now that its be modified and over all I really like it. I have always been good at keeping my cars in great condition. Its really important to keep your interior in good condition, I hate seeing people drill holes in there dash to mount phone holders or gauges. Although my car is now modified I've kept every single stock part. Everything boxed up and put away nicely on shelves in the back of the garage. Apart from the obvious cooler and sitting a bit lower, my car still remains relatively stock looking inside and out. It will be interesting to see how many FPV's still remain in years to come.
  21. Any more info on these, I want to get something like this for the bike. I've got a scala blue tooth headset on my helmet but I like to wear ear plugs to block out wind noise making it hard to hear the speakers inside the helmet Would be killing two birds with these puppies.
  22. I've seen lots of Hyundai's and Sh!tsubishis around my area. I was speaking to a retired detective a little while ago about this subject and he said that for every marked police car you see on the road there is about 10 un-marked ones, weather it be highway patrol, detectives, drug squad, specialist crime unit or someone a little higher up. He also mentioned that depending on the unit and within reason they are not really allowed to pull people over for minor traffic offences and expose a covert vehicle.
  23. spare a thought to the poor folks in the uk with there hideously large number plates
  24. So many great bikes coming out next year, my favorite ones would have to be the new 1299 panigali, long overdue new multistrata, bmw s1000rr, mv augusta 800 stradale touring, long overdue new R1, KTM 1290 SuperAdventure, bmw s1000xr, H2R, aprilia rsv4 1100 and tuono 1100, husqvanna 701 supermoto......awwww yisss soooo many good new bikes.
  25. ^^ I remember hearing the other week that they are getting rid of the ADR that states you must have a red reflector / hideously long fender / shovel extending to the most rear ( back of the rear tyre ) point of the bike. Bike manufactures will start designing shorter fenders similar to the typical fender eliminator for our market.
