  2. Been driving this to work every day this week while I house sit for my folks. Even with the retarded button clutch its still a great car to drive daily.
  3. the plain aloy ones on that xr8 look great. they really suit it.
  4. lol .... 'tempe spec.' I'm some what offended
  5. that bf gt-p looks horn.
  6. If any of the guys from down south want to meet up Saturday lunch time for the drive up to Liverpool. I'm thinking of meeting at about 12pm at the BP petrol station on Crown st Wollongong for a 12.30 depart. Heading straight up Mt Keira rd then onto Picton rd than M5. I'm open to going up a different way but this way has Mt Keira rd which is quite fun.
  7. Yes they fit and yes they look good. There's a few pics in my build thread right at the end. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/89288-I-jets-bf-f6-ute-build/
  8. I'll start by saying 'that's what she said' its sitting a touch lower than normal in that last pic, I had my 4 standard rims & tyres in the boot + the rotors and ps pump. I personally don't like it when the arse hangs low EDIT - the pic in my signature is how it normally sits...
  9. Been a while since I've posted in here. The F6 has had a few things done lately. Clutch The standard clutch started slipping quite badly under power in 3rd & 4th a few months ago. It was inevitable after subjecting it to the added power and torque. I decided to go with a NPC Single Plate Cushion Button clutch. Rated quite high - over 460 rwkw. I wouldn't recommend this clutch for a daily driver, basically it sucks for hill starts and slow speed maneuvering. I knew what I was buying and im very happy with the clutch. My car only gets driven on the weekends for fun so it suits my driving perfectly. It will stand up to a lot of abuse and still hold power after my next round of mods. The NPC kit comes with your pressure plate, clutch plate, flywheel, slave cylinder + on top of that I ordered new flywheel bolts, pressure plate bolts, spigot bearing, rear main seal & I replaced my tail shaft center bearing while the box was out. The standard ap racing twin plate was a beast. Very heavy. The new NPC kit. - much lighter rotating assembly - With the new clutch I noticed the car spins up a lot quicker in 2nd, it breaks traction instantly with boost instead of gradually. Power steer pump & high pressure line My p/s pump started leaking quite badly and was also leaking from the o ring on the high pressure line. I replaced both to be safe. Rear rotors Still running the stock pbr rotors on the rear after 85,000 kms and I can honestly say 'they are completely finger f*cked'. They are badly warped & I didn't realize just how bad they were until I replaced my front rotors a little while ago. I should have replaced these at the same time. I went with a set of RDA dimpled & slotted rotors for the rear. DBA T3's were my first choice but at over twice the price I couldn't justify it considering the braking force on the rear of a ute is so small compared to the front. Wheels I thought I'd treat myself to an early birthday present.....I picked myself up a mint set of genuine fpv gt 335 19's. I've always liked these rims and was lucky enough to pick up this set, as new with good oem dunlop tyres for a great price. I'm really happy with the overall look of my car now. To me, these rims were the finishing touch.
  10. Id be looking at going to a billet wheel or even, considering the kms on your stock turbo, maybe look at getting a new GTX3582R. It will help you get over the 400 mark on 98 while keeping the boost at a reasonable level. I could be wrong but I'm not sure that you will get to 400 on the stock turbo on 98 if you're still running the standard intake plenum. Also you should factor in a set of genuine ignition coils. The original ones tend to break up when they are subjected to more load / boost
  11. You should be very proud of your self mate, massive achievement with impressive results. Very keen to check out this car mate.
  12. I'll have a look for my instructions when I get home tonight mate.

  14. Silver for sure mate... Friends don't let friends put gold rims on their car
  15. I removed the rear on my standard exhaust and again on my xforce system. Results on the standard exhaust where ok, sounded good but not overly loud Results on the xforce where great, sounds is much louder and has a great note to it.
  16. no cutting under the headlight on my bf mk 2. only cutting you need to do is the back lip of the reo bar to make clearance for the intercooler itself
  17. You said 20mm right....Wiggum??
  18. Well done Joe. I'm glad you made it to powerplay. ?

  20. Spotted Pixy Angel in the dairy aisle at Woolworths Shellharbour.....
  21. about time you organised a cruise Pixy... lol. count me in. ?
  22. I went for their Heavy duty cushioned button clutch. It will stand up to alot of abuse now & still be up to the task after the next round of mods I'm cooking up. They ended up doing me a good trade price on the whole kit that was a reasonable amount cheaper than my original quote. Now just to put it in...... that will be sundays job.
  23. Mmmmm .......... clutchy goodness...!
