  1. I upgraded everything turbo side intake stage 2 pw intercooler and piping before tune. I didn't rev it past 3 grand though as per tuners request until I got the tune done a month later car still going strong. Some say it will be fine some say definitely not up to you if you want to be the guinea pig and let the rest of us know what happens if you up it without a tune.
  2. I paid $695 for kit with braided lines and pretty easy to install yourself with a little mechanical know how and some stands to make access easier.
  3. Hey bomber what figure did the boys get you in the end. They maxed out my little turbo at 317 and suggested to me the package you choose. They offered surge and new rail over in tank just wondering which route you went.
  4. Ba Bf gt3540 Fg gt3576. Fg spools quicker but runs out of puff approx 320rwkw after tune and supporting mods the f6 was fitted with the gt3540 hence more power more towards the 350rwkw region. Heaps of info on the forum if you look around don't know if this helps.
  5. Anyone know where on the gold coast it is possible to get ipod module linked to icc in fg mk1. Sunshine ford want car for 6 hours and $150. I know it's a simple 5 min job if you have the scan tool and software.

  8. All parts from vpw online. Aluminum for box from scrap bin at work.
  9. I had a noise from the rear of my ute that was annoying and very intermittent. Changed diff oil and it was bad and put in an additive also and the noise has never returned. Don't know if it helps.
  10. Made mine out of aluminum. Bought a 4 inch mandrel bend a 4 to 3inch 45 degree reducer and air filter from vpw then if you upgrade to bigger turbo you can just use a 4 inch silicone joiner. You need to upgrade piping as impossible to do with factory pipes I found. tighten your bov and you get heaps of noise. If you don't box it I guess more chance of drawing hot air from engine bay rather than colder air from behind headlight. I'm not an expert and don't claim to be just what I found doing my research before building mine.

  12. What's the best stuff to use leather interior is all new to me.
  13. Proper covers from Ford factory still were boxed got them on ebay for 350. Mate at work fitted to my seats and refoamed the bolsters no issues with airbags as these are proper covers.
  14. New leather covers fitted to seats to finish the interior off finally.
  15. Just picked up ute from hi-torque 317rwkw with all the supporting mods. See how long before I get used to it and go the bigger turbo.
  16. Unless you go 4 link like from performance suspension you are stuck with the leaf rear end. You can run the fronts though.
  17. Hopefully I get the same getting same system wouldn't go past 13 on the first round of mods with just bolt In cat.
  18. Getting full exhaust on my fg ute Monday at hi-torque they said do the port mod if you want to control boost down lower. I won't to smash boost in as much as the little turbo can anyway so they said not worth it.
  19. My mate got sumitomo 19's from Bridgestone helensvale Mick on his big power ba they seem good so far heaps of traction.
  20. I have +20 on the rear of my fg ute still heaps of clearance with 275/30
  21. Not sure about Melbourne but up here on the gold coast I got quoted 500 drive in drive out any height I wanted. Hope this helps with pricing.
  22. Venom high flow cat for mk1 bash out ring in factory cat mk2 I believe. So you are fine if you have venom cat
  23. First mod I did was the xr8 bonnet. Each to their own
  24. Interested in coil overs for front of my ute if possible
  25. 20 simmons 8.5 +25 front 9.5 +20 rear
