Actually I heard yesterday from a person at FOMOCO that the car is built complete with engine, turbo etc, then shipped across to FPV for testing and adjusting. I dont believe the turbo is added onto the motor. Its a specially made engine designed for the turbo.

Does this include a buyback for the original 17" rims? Also once the car is nearly complete ie at FPV getting the turbo etc, can the rims be installed then? Im hoping if I go 18" it doesnt delay the car anymore.

Can anyone confirm what the cost is for the 18" rims? And if Ford offers some sort of "buyback" for the standard 17" rims that come with the car.

It only affects AM reception. But yes the dealer should know about this. A few companies including Ford's Sentry Tint have made special BA tinting. This is a bit extra but good quality. Only difference between the BA tint is that it doesn't cut out as much UV rays as the normal tint due to the material used.

Just wondering guys, the wheels magazine with the Acid Rush XR on the front cover. What Rims are those? They look like GT rims. also ive hard the 18" rims are a different design to the standard 17" rims. Can anyone confirm this?

Sure is. 2 days ago it was at FPV. So who knows how long that takes.

Ive heard that once the car has been painted and put together it goes across the road to FPV to get the turbo put in.. thats where the delay is currently.

Yes definently congratulations. What is the Phantom interior? I thought the XR only had the Warm Charcoal for Leather? Or did you choose the standard fabric? I didnt choose 18" because by the time I thought about it, my car was half way up the production line.. Might also put some aftermarket 18" on it one day. Until then the 17" will be fine.

I cant believe that. Why would they try harder to push something which is cheaper? I would have thought they would have been in heaven when someone wanted a more expensive car.

Mine is: - Acid Rush - Auto - Leather Interior - XR Scuff Plates - Premium Audio - Sunroof - XR mats - Tinted Windows - Alarm Trying to source a special Aluminium Momo gear knob from Italy.. not too keen on the Leather Momo knob from Ford. :D

Well I know a few members on the board already have taken delivery of their XR6 Turbo.. Who has already? What are the likes? Dislikes? Mine should be ready in about a fortnight.. but I want to know whats it really like! From someone first hand. :D

They wouldnt warrant the engine if you changed the exhaust? Thats a bit harsh.
