Well got the beast back yesterday afternoon.. it felt like going to pick up a brand new car. The repairers have done an absolutely fantastic job. Must thank Steve @ Domain Motors, Riley St Sydney for his top notch work It felt so good to finally drive it home from work after nearly 2 weeks of the road.. it felt like a life time!

Absolutely love it, looks good, the performance is on tap and damn the stares all the time!

Hey guys, next Friday is my day. If you see a Citric Acid XR6T ute around on the northside of Brisbane with UXR 06 plates, give me a wave - don't be shy!!!!!!! Ignore the blue smoke from the wheel arches. Apparantly all turbo utes come with that fault............ :lol: mate you know we want photos!!!

Have some respect for other cars. I was thinking of buying a WRX before the XR6T so everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Im sure some subaru's would absolutely kick our asses.. but so what. We enjoy Ford's and that's that.

The car is covered for your normal warranty anyway for anything like this. its covered by the factory.

The drive from Sydney to Coffs Harbour is not that bad, neither is the drive from Sydney to the Entrance.

Hey CHRIS in have no views on the car yet cos i don't have mine yet to make any comment. I just collecting information about the BA range so i know what kinda things to look out for. Beside all this information has come form XR6T members and most of it is fact i have just collated it all. Then maybe we should have put that in the post above.. It does sort of look like these are issues with the one vehicle..

I had a Mitsubishi Mirage before i bought the XR6T. I was contemplating buying a Jap car ie WRX or Skyline, but was reading the Sydney Morning Herald Drive section one day and saw that a Turbo was coming out. Went straight down to City Ford to get more info, noone knew anything.. a week later they had the info and mine was ordered. Ive driven Ford's most of my life.. AU, Laser's etc. But I believe i have made the right choice with the BA. I think its an excellent car, fantastic to drive and looks good too! (the minor hiccups aside - like the bonnet cable).

I have that whistling noise very slightly from my sunroof too, with the slider open.. but closed no problems.

I also think alot of the items mentioned above are just PHNTUM's views on the car ie number 46. This is not a problem with the car but a presumption bearing no factual evidence.

Now doesnt that look good!
