I had lots of issues and decided to throw money at my BA mk2. I would HIGHLY recommend a correct diagnosis before you go and replace lots of functional parts for brand new. Fuel filter was causing my issues, it's also a maintenance thing, with how cheap they are, I'd do it anyway if it's been a while. Ever tried running different fuel in it? I had some problems where mine would cut out and just not like 98 or 95 but ran a heck of a lot better on 91, all sorted now (by throwing lots of money - I don't know what part fixed it). It HATES 95 still to this day, but handles 98 and 91 just fine.
