  1. grey (ego?), if there has been any repairs it's definitely minor or really well done, panel fit/finish was spot on, no rubber under rear bumper (lol dont look under my BA's bumper...) km's are up there a little but its got brand new diff bushes fitted by ford. I love the look of the G6E turbo that the open diff isn't too much of an issue. Drivers seat was sooooooooo comfy I feel like I could fall asleep in it. The 6 speed ZF I've never been able to go into performance manual shift with before, it shifted spot on and smooth as considering I was wearing my steel capped boots (it's safe to say, if you're selling a car, don't let someone who's 20 test drive your turbo falcon by themselves). Don't wanna say too much till the deals done, but basically I'm signed up and finance is fully approved, but I can still pull out.
  2. I'd want to put a LSD diff in it yeah. Wonder what the going rate is supplied and fitted.
  3. I'm getting them to sharpen up the offer for the trade in and believe that I'll have it next week. I test drove it by myself, it's safe to say, I had a lot of fun.
  4. fingers crossed I get finance, signed up for a 2008 g6et.
  5. I don't even think that's the right page on the xcal to find that out or not? When I sold an xcal 2 to somebody I plugged it into my car and showed them that it was stock. (I think it said status: stock and for tuned it said status: aftermaket).
  6. If you don't have much money then definitely look into the earthing as others have said. It definitely sorted a few problems my BA had. I found one of mine was not getting a good connection from a bad repair previously and a few niggling issues went away.
  7. I was offered a rear housing off an fg for my ba and given assurance it would be the same, so since the BA/BF turbo is the same then yeah. I don't know about non stock turbos though.
  8. Will report back if I endup checking that 6spd manual fg out tomorrow.
  9. Hopefully they let us have a test drive. I actually have the ability to go ahead on something this price but am not in any rush. I actually am more attracted to the G6ET. Considering RAC are useless pricks, who can you trust to do a thorough inspection of a vehicle?
  10. Can see cooler in photo of front of car. Also listed on dealer website as the same. Will find out tomorrow after work.
  11. I would really enjoy a manual xr6t, first clutch would probably last a week with me! Almost seems to cheap to be true, might go see the dealer and see what's on offer.
  12. hahahaha!
  13. Lucky I wore a nappy!
  14. hahahaha it was me!
  15. might come, cars at panelbeater till friday apparantly.
  16. I had quite a lot of things up that I've replaced to get my fuel down. Definitely start setting a trip meter for a full tank of fuel then when you refuel you can see the amount of litres you got for a certain amount of kilometers exactly.
  17. will hopefully go on next cruise.
  18. Nice car you got there mate!
  19. I really loved sport contact 3's when they were on my rear so much that I wished they went on the front! They hook up extremely well in the wet (even the conti max contact are very good in wet). Lovely tyre, the smoke just smells awesome, only lasted a week though. Got no idea honestly why more people aren't running with these, I find continentals quite nice.
  20. My muffler has holes in the pipe that goes into it, hard to see atm. It's barely noticeable difference in sound though.
  21. I appreciate the fact last time I got pulled over they gave me the chance to tidy up my driving style and purchase some new tyres rather than a yellow sticker and a date with the magistrate. It seriously must be something about the cops being jealous, as my car isn't modified.
  22. How do you take the core apart? I have my old one and just feel like disassembling it. Any tricks to note? It seems almost like you have two bolts sticking out that you possibly bolted it to a table with??
  23. Back to whoop ass wednesday or scared of breaking stuff? That was a swift box repair by XFT given that they're normally busy!
  24. Just drove to a job that turned out to be a massive waste of my time. LEAST IT WASN'T A WASTE OF FUEL haha, I love driving in steelcap boots, always press the throttle just that little bit more! what else to do on monday other than read turbofalcon stuff?
  25. Pedders were happy to charge me hundreds to install a camber kit I didn't need after a tyre shop after an alignment said my car would require one to fix the camber issue it had. (it got to the "yep definitely will fix your problem when do you want to book it in" stage) (drove for many thousands of kilometers cause I'm an idiot with one tyre excessively worn on edge)... Took it to an old fella who laughed and said something about it just needing shims. I don't even know what they did but the tyres wear evenly now and I don't have f*cked camber. He also did ball joints and wheel bearings that were flogged which nobody told me about (wheel about to fall off territory). Got the deal of the century, I basically got wheel bearings installed for free considering all front ball joints were replaced. It's my opinion that no alignment should be done when a car has faulty or excessively worn parts. It can actually be dangerous.
