  1. I got my BF for BA money so you should be able to find a half decent deal as well. the 6spd zf auto is miles better than the 4spd and you'll definitely be getting a 6spd manual. Even better if you get one with the stronger engine internals (mines an 09/06 MK1 I believe has stronger internals)
  2. lovely car mate. Wish I had that style of turboside intake! mine presses against the coolant hose and the filter goes under the bumper so I call it a plazmaman hot air intake.
  3. what made me feel good today? the forums working sweet cheers k31th.
  4. I feel like a used falcon is better value especially when they're already modified. mine for example came with freshly installed nolathane diff bushes and most other bushings have been changed/upgraded. You take a risk though, I broke down on the way to the mechanics with my new BF! tailshaft output flange snapped as well as part of the tailshaft. 1. I love the g6et but only had budget for a BF, g6et only has open diff atm. 2. not that I know of 3. hahahaha don't think so this is why I suggest used 4. they're traitors, we take them out back and shoot them.
  5. If this one is all up north then we should do the next one south of the river
  6. on one site I paid a chick $50 a week to do my washing which was awesome! she came by every second day and returned it all folded etc, had a few customers too. it's kinda funny when new people do it to themselves and their clothes shrink so much they barely fit!
  7. 2 free 245/35 19's to any forum member in perth who wants to come pick em up from near fremantle. http://imgur.com/a/z2VJe They hook up alright but I wanted some tyres for cruising around and especially with the wet weather here for some more grip. new tyres
  8. Where to get a turbo rebuilt on the cheap in perth? do I really need to buy a new core for about a grand?
  9. pulley noise?
  10. well I'm certainly not hooning around in it, haven't done a single skid! even if it's not resolved would probably still go on the cruise.
  11. They've been done, I'll find out if the timing is out next week on tuesday. Hopefully it's all sorted before the cruise 6.5k bf with heaps of mods is starting to become expensive.
  12. uh oh, P1385 'CAMSHAFT POSITION ACTUATOR CKT (B2)' Rang xft and they reckoned that means the timing is out. I hope it's something electronic and simple otherwise I'll get rocker cover pulled off with engine at TDC.....
  13. I THINK somebody is coming to buy my old car for pretty much what I'm about to pay the mechanic now. THEN MY TURBOFALCON SHOULD BE READY, BOOKED IN FOR SOME TYRES LOL.
  14. so what would you propose to fix these problems?
  15. more of both. I think one issue with this forum straight out is they let threads get too big. they should make them like 100 page maximum then do a part 2 and part 3 and so on. But then the f*cking around with replies thing has happened on my sorta build thread and im unable to post juicy updates that nobody cares much about probably but I want to post anyway. like how I think I got a ported flapper on the turbo.....except the turbo on the car does not have this and was only recently changed.....
  16. I'm a techy guy as well and have run forums with more members than this and I got no idea what the hell is going on to cause these problems? it's funny, seems like you open a thread and wait five minutes and replies will appear haha!
  17. what is pissing me off? this f*cking forum has some weird ass bugs and problems it's almost like the server is tripping out on drugs.
  18. pick car up thursday morning at this stage! we should endup somewhere for a feed, I love food, mmmmmmmm. it's a wonder I don't weigh 150KG already. annnnnnnd it's totally better cruising south of river....less cops
  19. not bashing fordhold but they sure have a habit of bringing out the wrong part or bringing out f*cked parts. go down to falcon specialist down the road assuming they're still open. Higher prices though.
  20. I gotta say one thing, the traction control on the BA was dog sh*t compared to the BF. In the short time I drove my new BF, I was able to pull out with more acceleration than my BA would allow me. Far better. Don't know if this could have been todo with the tune though!
  21. Back onto dodgy electricians, solar installers found one of the old panels CONNECTED TO ITSELF. We even had the installers back here years ago who told us that everything was fine. Goes to show, if you're getting solar only pick high quality products with high quality installers!
  22. Keen as but gota wait for my car at the mechanic. Stressful not knowing how it'll go for a roadtest cause it got dropped off with the broken tailshaft by a tow truck! They only found a stuffed wheel bearing, loose bolt on swaybar and the tailshaft issue on a general inspection. Genuine bearings going in both sides as one of the aftermarket bearings literally lasted a few thousand ks unless it was somehow installed wrong.
  23. A cruise within the next few weeks would be awesome, hopefully car comes back from mechanic all sweet and I can send it to XFT to lower the boost (still gotta see if it comes with a lower boost tune) :(
  24. hahaha, love the banter about the trades here took two years of experience to get fully qualified, but some get their cert3 + other courses without much at all. Anyway, if a lot of my work didn't involve remediation of f*ckups made by fully qualified electricians then I wouldn't need to be ranting! If comms was really f*ck all, then why do some companies still employ dedicated comms guys when the electrical contractor has usually offered to do the comms for free/an absolute pittance?
  25. hahaa love the banter, happens with all trades I'll admit electricians have it harder, our cables are lighter and easier to install. It's just a good 7/10 electricians jobs on comms are sh*t. They can only deal with 3 colours, I'd love to see them splice multiple 144 core fibers without f*cking it up and so they all test perfectly. Like that job I was talking about, the guys phoneline was f*ckED from day 1 because they'd run all the cables to the sub switchboard alongside the comms, also they made a join in cat5 near the power which makes it even worse, then another join a meter higher up in this riser shaft.... I mean how f*cking retarded do you have to be to do something like this? The phone line was crystal clear outside the house on the testphone... It's kinda nice always having the cable tray installed for me by the electricians though, they generally don't f*ck that sorta stuff up.....
