Awwww that sucks man, only last year I got done for reckless driving in a v6 commodore. f*cking $1100 impound fee for a month, $1650 fine and 6 month license loss all for 47kmh over the limit on the freeway. I cheekily told the judge I didn't see the speed camera so I think that's why my fine was not closer to $1k...... My insurance imposed a $500 excess for the first year with them and the premium is about $100 a year more expensive.
I can actually see my self coming to this thread and whinging about a three month car impoundment if I don't pull my head in. The other night the trac ctrl light flashed when I stabbed throttle from 100ks and got upto 150ks so unbelievably fast. Some dick was doing 80ks in the right lane of a private road so I passed them on the emergency lane on their right. on a private road of course and after following them for a while.
The reason I mention about getting the Late model camira impounded is because of what Kyle said. Also Kyle: I did find a way to stop the car fluttering, it just took a little getting used to and the ZF has adapted to my driving really nicely!
I have all 12 points and didn't get a single fine in my old BA out of luck but I got seriously lucky with that because this BF I'm mostly just cruising around in.
moral of the story: get it tuned and yes it was a surprise that you can get done for reckless driving in a car that sounds like a dying cow on wide open throttle, I didn't think I was going that fast.
