  1. hey guys, just a quick one, what size are the speakers in a mk 2 falcon? that's front, rear and tweeters? thanks
  2. hey there, does this product need any modifications to install, or is it just a replacement for the standard air box that can fit straight in? also, im sure this wouldn't affect warranty all that much, if at all
  3. well, my mate and I spent the Sunday morning grinding out that ring on my car, wasn't as bad as we thought but not entirely sure it made a big difference or not. feels like it spools a little quicker, but yer I don't know for sure, but I do know that it should be pumping the waste gas out easier now without any unnecessary restrictions, least till I get a proper exhaust
  4. bought new since end of December last year, just clocked over 7000km's and hopefully plenty more to come

yeah im not going to be doing any serious engine mods as of yet, so I wont need brembos (love to have them though!) but I hate the brakes that come with them, especially since its a more powerful car than a standard falcon you would think they could put a decent set of rotors on it. Even Expensive Daewoo put some good brakes on their special edition model (though it took a special edition to do it) that's the go the T3 sound good, just for arguments sake, whats the difference between those ones you mentioned and the gold version?

Hey there, bear with me here as Im not all clued up on brake setups n sh*t I have a FG MK2 Turbo with the stock setup, but I want to upgrade the brakes on all tyres So just want to know, are the DBA4000 slotted the way to go? And what possible pad would suit? And if possible, what the actual size of the rotors on both front and back are? Much appreciated for the help guys
  8. I have a MK2 FG XR6T, its a manual and its only got 7000k's now since I bought it brand new. I've had the axel trap since the day I got it, just haven't got around to doing anything about it as of yet, but its that annoying and noticeable that you cant even plant the go pedal without it tramping now. Even with traction on, if you are on a road that has less than ideal grip on it, planting the pedal results in tramp. Don't know if replacing the bushes would actually help or not or its a warranty issue.
  9. Hey guys, been a while since I have been on here, and not entirely sure if I should make a new topic on it, but just a question for ya's: Does the Fg Mk1 or 2 Turbo supposed to come with a warning light/noise when you get near the redline? And if not, is it possible to install one? And one more question: Is it better to change gears in the 4500/5500rpm range? I have heard that anything past this, you actually lose the benefit of boost instead of gaining it. Much appreciated guys!
  10. ah theres always gonna be another faster car but im happy with what it can do for the time being, always can do some stuff to it later on yer just treatin her well good fuel in not limiter bashing an hopefully wont have to worry bout that diff bush for a while
  11. Well, gotta say, holy sh*t!! Picked up my new turbo on thursday, and already there is no going back. That punch it has when the turbo kicks in, really unreal and addictive. And I know its only early days, but so far there really isn't anything I can find wrong with the direction that Ford have gone in the design, for me, perfect!
  12. that's what I like to hear, just drive the dam thing lol
  13. Yer I'll give her a bit here and there, but no doubt the temptation will get the better of me haha thanks guys
  14. Hey guys, just became a member a few days ago, interesting info you blokes put on here. Anyways, I'm about to become a owner of a brand new FG MK2 XR6T within the week (hopefully!!) Knowing this, I had this particular interesting theory put to me recently, and was wondering if you guys know whats better. I got a mate who works with the local Ford dealer, and he seems to reckon the best way for the new turbo to perform at its maximum, was to flog the car from new. Now, I always been told to wear in any new car, as the engine parts need to wear in etc. So, my question is, is it better to drive harder from new to achieve more power when it does wear in, or drive it sensibly for a couple thousand k's? I think honestly I would drive it sensibly, seeing as it is new, but this has been eating away at me for a good while now. Cheers guys for any answears, be greatly appreciated!
