Hi All, I tried a search but found nothing...I want to do an oil and oil filter change on the T, I have purchased the oil but wasnt sure what oil filter I need...can it be a standard falocn oil filter from auto parts store or should I install a genuine ford oil filter??? Also is it difficult to change the brake fluid as I wish to put dot 4 in??? I got new pads which iam installing next weekend but want to change the fluid also. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've seen quite a few menace coloured falcons around. Theres a Menace T near me with GT rims and it really looks good. Theres also a Menace F6 in the Nth Wst Sydney area. But I think Newcastle is Menace capital every week I go there for work I see menace XR8's, T's and N/A XR6's. But IMHO it needs dark tints to set it off.

Yes us ute drivers feel the pain even more....it cost me last weekend $102 to fill up and just after I did the whole today tonight did their campaign at Birkshire Park United which pushed the Shell (next door) to drop its price by 10cents a litre JUST AFTER I LEFT... oh well I didnt buy the T for fuel economy anyways...

Hey all, I have had no warranty work yet and done 40 000kms. The T has had little issues such as rattles in interior but most stopped after 10000kms and I found the last ones shotly after that. The whole ute just seems to be really settled and hassle free. Cheers

Hi fellow ute drivers Has anyone here traded from a BA XR6T ute into a BF XR6T ute?? What differences have you found I.e. quality (Does it still have the little ute issues still?), performance, drive ability. Are you glad you traded up??? Im thinking of trading up to a BF but not sure yet...

Hey all Driving home last night all my dash lights just went out. All I could see was the Trip screens and the radio screen. All other blue lights just went out. I am thinking it has to be a blown fuse. Has anyone else had this happen and if so was it just a simple fuse replacement. Its bloody dangerous as you cant see the speed at night or the revs.... mmm funny guys hey...I did notice that most of the replies came from people outside of NSW which makes me wonder.....do you interstate drivers ever get girls in your cars??? But back to the subject my sisters boyfriend is a yr above her and cannot attend as its yr10 only thus the reason for the ute (He wasnt impressed with the replies) I would prefer her to go to her formal in a FPV than my mates HSV GTO which is the last choice.

I have taken them off myself to fix rattle also behind them and to do it properly without damaging anything it takes a good 20min to remove everything. If you have an auto its easier than manual. They do clip out but you need to remove the a few things before. PM me if you want step by step instructions. Shane

My GF's oldies just purchased a VZSS ute about 4 months ago and compared to the T the SS is a SLUG. My GF even said its sluggish and boring compared to the T. It just dosnt have the torque of the turbo or the top end and the brakes are sh*t they kept shuddering when trying to pull it up. I keep offering a drag run but my GF's oldies agree it wouldnt beat the T. I must say though I love the leather seats and the stereo. Quite a few build quality issues aswell the fuel gauge dosnt work correctly and the little attachment to the side skirts near the rear wheels are dented. The exhaust is sitting on a angle but finally I have to say it now sounds like a V8. Overall its a very nice ute to drive...

My T has had its little issues but nothing like what ive been hearing. Mine was a demo and I purchased it with 5k on the clock. It went like a rocket, interior is all spoton, exterior is perfect (a few little scratches but nothing to upset me), engine runs perfectly with no leaks or clunks anywhere. Ive heard demos being of poor quality but to me its seems the other way around. I think the demos are better quality as they dont want potential customers driving crap (first impressions last). The only issues were a few rattles which I fixed two myself and the others have stopped. I will buy another Ford any day as its what I love to drive...

Where I live in the Hawkesbury (Nth West Sydney) there are a few large industrial areas which are dead at night...anyways I was washing my car at a car care wash at 9pm on a friday night (Heading home from work). I was driving out after finishing and a white ford turns the corner at speed and drifted straight pass me. nice I thought...but when the car passed me I noticed all the "police" stickers on the side. I just thought he was on a chase or something. I turned my lights out and hoped out of my car to try and see or hear something. In the next street which is a dead end there was a car being thrashed and smoke rising above the buildings...The cops were thrashing this thing. Then I saw them coming back pass me and once they saw me they slammed on the brakes and pulled over next to me, I finally realised it was a T. The passengers window came down and the cop said "Its standard procedure" with a big grin on his face. I replied "I understand...I also drive a T". They laughed and said they love the T over the V8's.

Hi All The silver panel around my auto shifter is starting to bubble around the "D" & "R" letters and its getting worse by the day... its painful. Has any one else had this prob and if so did ford replace it under warranty. I really dont expect this on a $40000 ute...

Hi All My silver auto cover in the cabin with the P R N D is starting to bubble around the "D" all the way over to the edge. Has this happened to anyone else and if so did ford replace it under warranty. I have no idea whats caused it.....

Just you mate. Car is a BA anyway <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What im seeing is a blue tinge around the head lamps sort of like the BMW look. But it could be just a reflection. Although they would look good with that BMW circular light.

that would be a BA MKII G220, they have the black icc and white guages also. BF's version of the G220 will be called the G8. I personally think they need a G260, or G245T :hiwelcome: fairlanes are the dullest car in the range, but they have so much potential. Quick question...does the dash still light up blue or is it a different colour in the BF???
